Well, it's nearly official. Floyd ducked Margarito. Arum has offered a deal to Winky to face Margarito at 154 which is a career high purse for Winky. I'd have to assume Winky will take it if he can make 154, which he should have no problem with.

So, if Floyd is going to dodge his toughest fights at his weight, should he really be considered a top P4P fighter? I really don't think so. There is no way around it.

As for Wright-Margarito, I'd say Winky will win a boring UD. Not a good matchup for excitement, really. Margarito-Mayweather would have been so much better, on paper at least.

Oh well, so the question is, who is P4P #1 now? It's passed time to get a new guy in there, I say. You can't be P4P #1 and turn down the biggest payday of your career against the most dangerous fighter in your weight-class, who holds a world title and is coming off of three big wins.

an upset for margarito could make him a bigger draw at least. so when he fights mayweather its a bigger pay day for both.

But i agree, Margarito doesnt have a chance at beating winky. He has little chance of winning more than 3 rounds.

Arum is a "scheister" ulterior motive is his life. He has all these weird formulas because he is a lwayer, that's why wink stated he is not sure about boiling himself down for an extra 500,000 when he could wait for the winner of dela hoya mayweather in late 2007. Money wise arum is making winks decision easier. Arum is on his last leg, he has two fighters margo and cotto who are not the best and he is trying to get an advantage over the p4p champs wink and pbf, so he can boost his fighters profile which boosts his pockets not his fighters who will get thrown to the wolves.
