Charlo has been owed his mandatory for some time now, he and his camp have been patient with the WBC and the two Alvarez-Golovkin fights, but that patience is running thin.

The WBC will make their formal declaration September 30th, but I doubt that they will ask Charlo to wait through another WBC voluntary and Alvarez-Golovkin 3, putting Charlo's wait at over 2 years for his shot.

If Oscar is bent on fighting in New York before the end of the year, he should hope that that cut somehow talks the WBC into naming him emeritus champion, Charlo will fight for the vacant belt, and Alvarez will have that fight as an option for May or September 2019 (along with Golovkin, the Derevyanchenko-Jacobs winner, and the Saunders-Andrade winner) after beating on Lemieux to defend the WBA belt.

I think the WBC will let Canelo fight Lemieux in December and then force him to fight Charlo in May or vacate! I doubt they force him to fight Charlo in December!

We'll see on the 30th. If the choice is a third Golovkin fight (Golovkin couldn't beat him on the move, Golovkin couldn't beat him when he stood in front of him, and Golovkin is gonna be another 8 months older with another camp of wear on his body) or Jermall Charlo, I have serious doubt that Alvarez would actually pick Charlo.

Why keep up the charade is all I'm saying.

Idk man, canelo fought a very dangerous Austin Trout, a very dangerous Lara, and a very dangerous GGG. Why would he not fight Charlo?

Almost sure Canelo will fight Lemie on Dec, in-house fighter and will clear out his wba mandatory. I'd love Canelo to fight either Jacobs vs Derev winner, Charlo or Andrade vs BJS winner.

Being honest based on styles I think that BJS or Andradw would be the harder ones to beat. Canelo don't like ankward movers like Andrade or pure boxers like BJS.

Canelo vs Jacobs, Derev or Charlo would be a hell of a fight as those guys like to stand and trade more.

I can give Canelo a pass for fighting David in dec. as long as he fights one of those guys in May 2019.

Canelo will fight Lemieux in Dec, GGG in May and then whoever he chooses from there on. Golden Boy won't care because he'll made a boat load of money for them. Don't be surprised if Canelo vacates the WBC title rather than fight Charlo.
