The UK is near rich European countries as well and travel between them is normal. It's easy to market to a small condensed area then put them on the world stage.

It's a condensed island which makes it very easy to market to. Boxing is also one of their few entertainments, just look at the size of that island, it's a fraction of what we have to offer in America.

... If your projection is correct, the UK's total land mass is about as large as Southern California and the Central Valley put together.

In what world is that a small island

to Canadians and Americans who live in a massive country, yours is a small island. To compare, you're a bit bigger than their small island (Hawaii) and our small island (Nova Scotia) yet you're a country and those are just islands for us.

Fair play, but it's surely better to have a small piece of a huge pie rather than a big piece of a tiny one?

US promoters are snakes and are milking their fighters beyond any mercy. King, Haymon etc, all ripping boxers off.

              Uk is boxing

The elite fight here and Americans are over hyped pampered trash that get taken out when they step up to uk fighters

Like a lot of Americans on here, for example Larry, they lose their balls when the time comes to step up

The US is very divided internally... why is Canelo more popular than Spence or Thurman?

Because it's better to be a Mexican fighting in the US than it is to be an American, as the Mexican will be supported by all Mexicans (and possibly other latinos) whereas the American will only be supported locally.

You obviously didn't listen much at school, UK population is only 5 times smaller. As for why UK fighters get paid more, the only ones earning more are fighting on PPV. A normal UK main event fighter on Sky isn't earning much more than a fighter fighting on ESPN or Showtime.

Relative to the U.S that is small, California is just 1 of 50 states.

Imagine the luxury of being able to advertise your product without really having the limits of travel that the U.S has compared to the UK. Marketing your message over such a great area to a much bigger, diverse population can be very difficult.

The distance is not the only limit the US faces in regards to boxing's popularity but our sheer amount of entertainment. There is a fraction of shopping, entertainment, fishing, restaurants, hiking, nice beaches, hotels, ******** etc. in the UK compared to the US.
