While canelo not worried about the body attack from GGG because he was too scared to throw it.
A lot of good points made by various posters on this thread imo.

I don't agree with the "scared" comments though. I don't think GGG was "scared", he showed by digging deep and working his way back into the fight that he has great fighting spirit. Imo it was more a case of he knew that to throw body shots against Canelo would be a disastrous strategy and had to adapt and try to win the fight by whatever tactics he could execute.

These idiots should just be happy they put on such a good performance.
I always respect the fighters call them by their right name, congratulate winners. Etc.
Alot of fanboys on this sight.
Well said! This is why we LOVE boxing. Im a Canelo fan and I didnt even give him 1 round against Floyd. The 1st fight I scored 7-5 but gave GGG round 10 basically on a coin flip so no problem with the draw.

2nd fight Canelo 6-7 rounds for sure. GGG 5-6 rounds. So a draw or Canelo winning is right Thats basically how I felt about the 1st fight. 5-6 Canelo and 6-7 GGG...

GGG can move in another direction as well.
Honestly I think Canelo hurts him next time and drops him. You saw how GGG looked after the fight. Hes lost a step or 2. No shame im that father time always wins. GGG needs someone not as good at counter punching and head movement. To be honest he should fight the winner of Sergiy/Jackobs with most likely Sergiy winning. Canelo / Charlo is gonna be INSANELY huge if in Dallas Stadium.. And Ill be there...

GGG is better than good. Hes ELITE....And Im down for these two to start wrecking up the MW division instead of each other. Man they just took at least 5 years from each other.

I thought Canelo was gonna knock him out around round 6 and GGG came back strong as *** and took majority of the latter rounds.

And I would imagine one of those was Jim Lampley, after seeing that rant he wrote a few days after the fight. I don't see the rage subsiding anytime soon with the Canelo haters... but hey that's part of boxing fandom. Wish I had an answer for the situation, but that isn't something that will happen anytime soon.

But the fact is, Canelo did win, as much as Canelo haters hate that reality. Tough fight for both fighters, but it was the toughest on GGG. Both fighters gave it everything they had, it's just that Canelo had a little bit more to give. Combine that with him being able to take the punches from the boogy man, and we had what turned out to be a great, close fight for the fans.

If he's hinting that age will be the deciding factor, then he may have a point. Also, one thing to consider is, ryan garcia is counting on Canelo's success, so they can remain on HBO, which is where his ONLY fan base exists.
No arguments can be made when most media members, magazines, and the boxing community as a whole "Don't Know Shet Bout Boxing" AND MOST of the Boxers said Nelo won. Age has nothing to do with it, its all just "smoke & mirrors."
