GGG and Canelo gave me everything I LOVE about boxing!!!

    1. Canelo
    1A. GGG
Can’t argue that shadow. GGG showed he is a very good boxer and canelo redeemed himself. I want them to start clearing out the MW division and give others a crack at them

AFTER 2 fights here are the facts GGG has missed 1100 punches and landed exactly 14 body shots and has been outlanded in power shots in BOTH fights, dominated in body shots BOTH fights, lower connect rate on BOTH fights, can only land jabs. While canelo lands at will his entire aresenal of punches and rearranged GGG face.

You can make can make all excuses you want it's actually comical how you have moved the goal and keep scrambling to explain why GGG isn't the GGG you made him out to be.
This shows your biased and ignorance. He didn’t whoop him? How so? Both fights were close and the outcome was highly disputed by all. You put stats but yet it was a very close fights. If he is so one demensional then why didn’t he knock out or win by a landslide? Why did he get an undeserved draw and only outpoint him by 2 rounds in the second fight? You are truly ******ed but hey there is no cure for that you are sadly missing a few chromosomes and brain cells again there is no cure for your ignorance

2 fights he missed over 1100 shots he threw, out landed in power shots BOTH fights and landslide in body punches against him. You can't miss that much, landing only the jab and make up for the huge disparity in power punches, connect rate and body work from canelo. I'm sorry. Being shook to throw body punches will haunt GGG forever. Maybe he throws it gets countered too much and knocked out maybe he throws it and takes canelo out. But he was too scared to find out so didn't try it.

And that's not even getting into the embarrassment about Mexican Style 6-8 body shots over 12 rounds is NOT Mexican Style. LMAO
this comment ! well said. Way to break it down.

Dude you are on fire. BUT i couldn't agree more. I've been saying this for years. That GGG was another Eastern European hype job. Here is the thing! I LOVE GGG. I like watching him fight etc. I just never saw why people thought he was legit. Because he outbox a human punching bag in Lemuix, I think if Jacobs had more confidence going into their fight he would have whooped dat ass. He just got in his head about getting hit.

GGG is dope, no doubt. The dude went 24 rounds with a game Canelo and did great. lost by 1 round? thats pretty damn good. But these people who act like he was HOF worthy are crazy. If the jab was the only thing that mattered Paulie Maggnilninalngllii would be an all time great.

Facts: Canelo won the fight with effective aggression, ring generalship, and better power punching.. GGG had the more effective jab, but don't get caught up, Lamply was riding GGG jab way more than it actually connected or even mattered. Round 2? canelo completely dominated. GGG had a good round 4. Canelo, got GGG early in Rd 5 with a solid body shot early, got him lowering his light hand often to protect himself.

On top of all that. Just the bully poop talker, got hit in the mouth and **** up pretty quickly.

I still like GGG and if he want to become even more adored, he should fight all the hard fights. BJS would be a good start. A solid rematch with Jacobs. People forget that just a few months back GGG destroyed some bum. " oooo he's angry. oooo He's gonna destroy canelo the cheat, who runs". I mean that was what people were all hype about. Big DRAMA is back! blah, get over it. the better guy won. And thats OK. GGG is still dope. lets hope he recovers well, doesn't show age and comes back ready to fight. Hes older but its not like he's been in wars like canelo. Like he's fought the best out there. He is older but with low miles. Don't get me started on his amateur record in which I have no doubt that his state sponsored doping program let him fight at a a high level.

            GREAT post !!

I would like to see Golovkin target some of the young lions.....

but by target I mean sign them, no excuses..... not just talk about them, and then select someone else saying (insert excuse here)

he is a badass, no question..... and should be favored over pretty much everyone else at 160 except maybe Jacobs which is 50/50

the titles are a non-issue, and Hopkins record is a non-issue..... so there really is nothing preventing them from making those fights

by the same token, Canelo also needs to address some of the (many) questions at middleweight..... not just sit on his laurels taking showcase fights like Lemieux..... 160 is pretty stacked with contenders, hopefully the cream will rise to the top

              Exactly.
One fighter had to lose unfortunately in a fight that good.
These idiots should just be happy they put on such a good performance.
I always respect the fighters call them by their right name, congratulate winners. Etc.
Alot of fanboys on this sight.

Funny, I can understand how long-range bitter one can get after losing money. A scam artist got me on some home improvements I had done to my house. That was 2+ years ago, and still if I ever find the little weasel again I will beat hizzazz. So I can definitely relate to those fans who lost duckies with their bets last weekend for this fight. And I would imagine one of those was Jim Lampley, after seeing that rant he wrote a few days after the fight. I don't see the rage subsiding anytime soon with the Canelo haters... but hey that's part of boxing fandom. Wish I had an answer for the situation, but that isn't something that will happen anytime soon.

But the fact is, Canelo did win, as much as Canelo haters hate that reality. Tough fight for both fighters, but it was the toughest on GGG. Both fighters gave it everything they had, it's just that Canelo had a little bit more to give. Combine that with him being able to take the punches from the boogy man, and we had what turned out to be a great, close fight for the fans.

the more i think about it the less i wanna see a third fight. who really wants to hear more "ggg is old" excuses? not me. and next time he'll be even older. time to move on. two fights was good enough. 160 is stacked let other fighers eat and get that Canelo lottery fight. GGG can move in another direction as well.
