This is the most amateurish and worst pitch I’ve ever seen for a new product in my life:
Instead of “Here’s why you SHOULD subscribe,” it’s “well, I cant’ think of a good reason why you shouldn’t.”
I’ll give you a few of my reasons:
* It offers nothing but boxing (mostly Fox Sports Net/ESPN Friday night fare) and Bellator (minor league MMA). No football, basketball, baseball, no major American leagues. Just a few nights a month with live programming.
* The price point is twice that of ESPN+, which offers WAY more than twice as much. They are asking $120 per year for this.
* DaysInn hasn’t signed a single U.S. fighter of interest. None. Promised eight big signings in July ... then it becomes August, then they’re saying “Hey, we got Adamek vs. Miller.” No thanks.
* I can get all the Matchroom UK fights for free on Youtube a short time after they run on Sky in the UK. No need to pay for that.
* At least half of Eddie’s offerings will be at inconvenient times for me anyway, so I wouldn’t care to see them live as I’d be working or otherwise busy. So getting them free on Youtube later is a much better plan for me.
* To me, WBSS is just a tournament that determines who I should later pay attention to — Usyk showed he’s the best cruiser, so I’ll watch for him going forward. Now they’re having a tournament to determine the second best cruiserweight, wtf? It’s mostly Euro fighters and if they prove themselves worthy of my interest, I’ll pay attention after that. So I don’t much care about the tournament itself.
I could go on and on. DaysInn needs to vastly expand its programming. It needs American name fighters — why not sign Tommy Morrison’s kid and built him, Deontay Wilder’s younger brother, break that billion-dollar bank and steal away a major star from Top Rank or Golden Boy or PBC. If literally NO fighter of consequence in the USA is interested in the big money Hearn is tossing around, that tells me all I need to know.
So those are reasons WHY NOT for me. And the executive for the company making his pitch have articulated no reason why I SHOULD want this, why I MUST have it ... just “there’s not a good reason not to.” Imagine a car commercial that says “well, there’s no reason not to buy our car, so, um, just give us money.” LOL. This is a Mickey Mouse operation.Comment

David Price and the next Khan’s next KOs are worthy of the 30 bucks the subscription fees you’d spend and you’ll get loads of fights in betweenComment

I agree, its real weird to meI'm not going to let any pointless and petty views step in the road of me watching boxing.
Why someone would cut off their nose to spite their face, and choose to make their world smaller by holding worthless opinions of boxing promoters?
Though I've seen the standard of posters blinded by empty hate like they're changing the world or something. We've got a few here right.
