I went to this fight and bet big on Calzaghe. They had betting windows inside the arena and even in the U.K Calzaghe was an underdog. He was always very underrated and to this day still under appreciated IMO. It's sad that his father just passed.
Among some of the biggest upsets in Boxing history was Schmeling-Louis I, Backus-Napoles I (though the master got his revenge) and some recent one's were Tszyu-Judah (another easy one to call yet he was a 3-1 dog), Hatton-Tszyu (4 or 5/1 I believe), Sanders-Wlad and Fury-Wlad. I think when Napoles lost his last fight to Stracey that was considered an upset but Napoles was an old man by then.Comment
