If my last name was McGirt I'd legally change it to 'McGirth' just to give the ladies an idea of who I am and what I'm packing

What? It's the second time he switched trainers. First one was when he left JDJ after the Ward fights, and now he switched again after the Alvarez loss.

Good to hear it. He was def in the wrong direction with the other dude. His jab turned to absolute garbage. Lost his crispness.

Ward hit Kovalev14 different times below the belt in the second fight. Ward did not even lose a point For any of the 14 low blows. If anyone is ever been in the martial arts or boxing they realize how debilitating in your energy Low blows are. Getting screwed twice by the judges in the ward fight pretty much broke his spirit. If anyone thinks that ward won the first fight with Kovalev There on crack. Sad situation Kovalev had never lost a fight before Vegas screwed him twice with ward. Vegas always screws the opponents of money fighters because they don’t want to upset the big time promoters. I do think Kovalev might win this fight but hopes he will retire after the fight either way. They just don’t like the Russians in Vegas. The Russians don’t have personality or charisma and with networks like HBO they’re selling the entertainment more than the fight. Cove life is definitely a top 10 or 12 light heavy weight of all time even though his record might not show it

Good post. If Kovalev wins I want to see him vs Bivol though before retiring.

Kovlev is he has to stop drinking. Stop being stubborn, arrogant and listen to his trainer.

He has more money than he ever thought he'd have as a kid.
Duva built him up fighting nobodies so they better get another nobody before he goes back to Alvarez.

The "low blows" from ward were never answered back by low blows never questioned by his corner or by him. The protective cups are made from STEEL. The only way you get hurt is by getting hit on the outside edge and the cup gets moved aside or from underneath the front of the cup.
                    None of those scenarios happened.
The second fight he was doubled over against the ropes not wanting any body shots to come in. He basically told the ref by his body language that he was done.

Good boxer, decent punch but trains like a dog! That's been his M.O. for years now.

You're right about that. It looked like slow motion against Alvarez. I had Kovalev winning before the KO, but he had trouble with his jab, and he let Alvarez get in close, whereas he would normally control the distance very well with his jab.
