I think you're overestimating the cost of the possible under.

Gary Russell Jr and Leo Santa Cruz will split $2m-$2.5m. Gervonta Davis and Abner Mares likely end up splitting a million between the two of them

If both fights are on the card it def does over 450-500k. And if they have another decent fight as the fourth fight like one of the Charlo's than it probably hits close to 750k.

That's a different discussion. I'm talking about covering the purses of those fights with what Wilder/Fury will want. That's why you can't get crazy with the PPVs unless you have a huge event where everyone gets paid well and you don't lose money on the PPV.

Pugmire is reliable. I don't like Davis-Mares all that much but I listed LSC-GRJ as one of my five favorite matches in Boxing currently.

Agreed! None of the fights are PPV worthy on their own to me, but when you get Wilder vs Fury and GRJ vs Santa Cruz it makes it appealing. Tank vs Mares does not interest me that much

Yeah I'd definitely pay for that card. And I thought Tank would wash Mares, but Tank is showing me his lack of discipline recently. He might go in there and get out worked.

Haymon just got 2 monster deals. To pretend he is in the same situation as before with the time buys is ridiculous. He has incentive to make better cards now.

Why not hope that this card come to fruition since it has 2 great fights and a solid opener in Davis/Mares instead of downplaying it because its Haymon?
