    What now for Sanchez...

I'm disgusted how Abel threw GGG under the bus in his post fight interview.
I think he needs to take part of the blame but insists it was all Gennady fault.
All he said in his corner was just K/O him and go toe to toe, even though he could see Gennady was getting beat to the punch.
He had no adjustments besides just knock him out.
Maybe their was some issues in their relationship before this fight.
I definately feel their will be hostility now and both GGG and Gassiev should find a new trainer.

I don’t think there were issues prior, but if Sanchez won’t stop talking there will be.
It was just the first time things weren’t going their way and the opponent was well equipped with a good game plan.
I think GGG fought well, and it was close.

What do you think Abel could’ve advised?
IMO they should’ve started a bit faster and not allowed Canelo to carry momentum going forward.
By round 7 canelo was already comfortable on the front foot more than ever.

I don't think he's thrown anyone under the bus he just got humbled and sent back to reality.

totally agree. I havent heard anything from him during the fight. GGG is dumb enough not to understand that he needs a major change or retire. Kovalev was on same pass as well. his good boy and drama show is well past its prime. he faces lately better opposition and got nothing to answer them in the ring. and all Abel says, you are losing, go for ko, keep that jab working.

as much as I dont like cheater and his promoter, they get all my props for beating triple G.

GGG ran more than Sanchez would have liked and didnt fully listen to his instructions. Sanchez is frustrated with this. Normally trainers wont talk **** about their fighters but it looks like Sanchez is giving up on GGG, either because he didnt listen or because he realizes with his age he dont have much time left. The way sanchez is hugging Canelo's nuts, I think he wants to join Canelo's camp now.

He should have seen that GGG wasn't comftable receiving all them body punches.
He should of come up with a strategy to limit the damage He was taking with these instead of just saying stand in front and go to war.
He must of seen he was getting beat to the punch alot he should have had a plan b and plan c for certain situations.
GGG is only human them punches Nelo was landing were crazy.
You can't expect a man to just rock em sock em at his age.
GGG tried to adjust with no help from his trainer and still nearly pulled it of.
            That's just my thoughts anyway.

I also made a Thread about them not having a game plan in case Canelo fights that way, they seem to have not prepared for it.

Like I said what could the plan B be at those moments? The only other choice was to box in a safe distance like Canelo did in the first fight. And he’d be crucified for it. And probably lose wider on the cards.
I think Sanchez was just motivating GGG to go for the kill as well like the opponent was doing.

Thing is Canelo soften and drained GGG up a bit with those body punches early. They’ve set themselves up for success as well as survival to any onslaught later on, which in fact happened in the 10th and 11th. But not much energy was into it.

Going toe to toe and to the body in the early rounds would have been advisable as it woudn’t have made Canelo comfortable moving forward. And drained his gas tank a bit as well.

Nonetheless, GGG decided to do what he thought was best, it was a good performance and it was a close fight.

If GGG went for the kill as well it’s either him or Canelo getting KTFO mid rounds.
GGG was either smart for boxing his way thru it or not confident enough that he’ll get the better off that slugfest.

Sanchez was just motivating him to do what they’ve promised to do and that is hurt Canelo bad when he goes toe to toe.

IMO, it was really the body punches of canelo that made the difference.

The days of trainers riding and dying with their fighters are long gone. These days they're all too eager to abandon ship after the first sign of taking on water.

The only issue I have is what was Sanchez supposed to say? As much people may think Sanchez is throwing GGG under the bus by saying he thought he didn't win the fight GGG also put his trainer in a bad spot. After making excuses moments after the first decision when asked by Max why he couldn't hurt canelo land those big shots we used to seeing he immediately said Canelo ran from him. I wanted Mexican Style. That was GGG and his trainer then backed him up later that night and in EVERY interview he did.

So this time after Canelo brought Mexican Style to his door step like he asked for GGG DIDN'T want it and was stalked and beat up and refused to fight the way Sanchez wanted. Then runs out the ring with a broke face on some sore loser shyt because he didn't want Max to ask him well GGG first fight you said he ran and that's why you looked bad the first fight he came with Mexican Style but you boxed and backed up why is that? Why were you unwilling to go to Canelo's body for the second straight fight? GGG didn't want to answer those questions and face the music so he bolted LEAVING Sanchez alone to have to face those questions. Even after he was done sulking and finally faced the media he pulled a I don't speak english no more and came out with glasses a translator and still directly asked Why didn't you fight Mexican Style? Why did you back up? Why don't you go to the body? He went full politician mode and pivoted every time without giving a direct answer AGAIN leaving Sanchez to have to answer these questions.

What you want Sanchez to make a fool out himself like GGG did by pretending the man didn't just get punked Mexican Style? You want Sanchez to lie and say yeah running from Canelo bringing Mexican Style was the game plan? Being scared to throw any body shots after we predicted nonstop body attack and a KO shot to the liver called the Ginger Shot? Had GGG stayed in the ring and faced the music with Max and answered the questions none of this finger pointing after the fight would be necessary. But when you run out the run refuse to answer questions after everything you said leading up to the fight you put it all on Sanchez to jump on that sword. And he refused to take the blame for how GGG fought.
