All the East Coast PBC fights will happen in Barclays. They just made a deal recently.

Opened in 2012, Barclays Center is the home of the Brooklyn Nets and hosts premier concerts, championship boxing, college basketball, and family entertainment.

Loma definitely getting popular. Although I doubt the fight versus Pedraza is some blockbuster.

Agree on them not doing Barclays that day. Not because they’re losing sleep over Loma, but I suspect they have other things in mind.

You mean the one that will spill over, forcing the Loma bout to ESPNNews? I’ll try to remember.

Hey bro are you ready to join the movement: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/20/espn-streaming-service-at-1-million-paid-subscribers-in-five-months.html

ESPN+, the streaming video service from the sports network, has reached more than 1 million paid subscribers, the company said Thursday.
It's an impressive feat, given the service just launched in April.
ESPN+ will stream 10,000 live sporting events in its first year, in addition to on-demand content and past sporting events. It features games from Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and global soccer events. It does not require its subscribers to buy a cable or satellite subscription, appealing to cord-cutters. The service costs $4.99 per month, or $49.99 per year.
Three replies to one post. Lil thirstbucket, aren’t you?

Yep, PBC had Pedraza on the undercard before.

That is for NY and basically so that they don't use MSG and possibly AC. Barclays also owns the venue on Long Island where Berto-Alexander took place.

PBC can still do shows in PA, in DC etc. They aren't just restricted to Barclays.

It just doesn't make sense. They probably are losing some sleep over Loma just like Top Rank would lose some sleep over Thurman or whoever would headline Barclays because both sides would lose ticket sales.

That being said I don't see a PBC marquee fight available for December 8th. We know Stevenson is going Dec 1 in Canada. Mikey and Spence are pushed back to next year to fight each other so even if Spence goes in December its not going to be in a big fight. Charlo-Hurd ain't happening this year. Thurman don't want a big fight yet, Porter and Garcia are done for the year. Wilder is tied up.

I think they will do a Spence, Thurman or Gary Russell showcase type fight but don't see it being the most competitive fight for the Fox kickoff. Something that leads to a bigger fight.

It will spill over Loma. Top Rank has a tripleheader. Will likely spill Teofimo Lopez over.....

Fox has the same problems if you remember baseball games preempting some fights on regular ESPN the first couple years of boxing on Fox....that is the unfortunate part of live sports

Not surprising. It’s ESPN. We’ll see how they maintain it. I’m hoping it doesn’t eventually come the dumpster for all their niche *****. Time will tell.
