I agree with Froch in that Joshua has gone flat and needs to excite again. AJ has become too PR savvy and media refined and it takes away from the rawness a heavyweight champ should have. No wow factor anymore with AJ inside or out of the ring. At least Wilder's diva rants get people talking and Fury is a certified nutcase. A heavyweight champ should always be unhinged and AJ needs to add that to his game.

In one sense Carl Froch is right. Joshua needs to put on crowd pleasing performance because I can assure you that the boys across the pond are definitely going to deliver in terms of fan excitement (Wilder and Fury). I know in the back of his mind Anthony is thinking about it because the last thing he needs is for them to steal his shine and limelight away from him.

However, he has to look at the big picture. He cannot a afford a loss at this current juncture of his career. Therefore I expect him to play it safe and cautious to an easy smooth sailing twelve round victory decision over Alexander Povetkin.

Sure Froch has been involved in some very entertaining fights, mainly because he doesn’t have the ability to hit and not get hit and its more suited to his attributes of having a great chin, great stamina and just generally being hard as nails to get into that kind of fight.
But he shouldn’t try and have a go at other fighters, much, much better boxers than himself who fight suited to their technical attributes.
If ward fought Froch ten times he’d beat him ten times, and Carl knows it, that’s why he ducked a rematch and is still salty.
