I've seen plenty pointing to Canelo doing well but the reality is that there's a significantly larger number of people who think GGG won. I don't see a huge bias in general against Mexican boxers or Mexican boxing. They get good press in general. Canelo gets a lot of heat but he did fail multiple tests and didn't act with grace. He's also definitely got more favorable treatment than most fighters so naturally people don't like that type of stuff. The press did say Marquez was robbed in Pacquaio III for example and a lot of idiots then said "well the judges said this", "well Pacquaio landed more shots".

Re: this site being biased against Mexicans. It goes a number of ways and it does exist. A lot of posters really don't like Mexican and black fighters but a lot of posters really hate white fighters/European fighters. I think there's more troll threads and posters tearing down active European boxers than anything else and that's just a fact. It's blind ignorance to act like it doesn't happen. A lot of noobs especially Pacquaio one's hate Mexican fighters because Marquez had the audacity to not go down without a fight.

It's sad that it's come to that and people have taken things deeper than the sport we are supposed to love and be here to discuss. You can spot them a mile off I said I think GGG won and one idiot poster who's been here years (lizard man) said I'm a Pacquaio fan who was still upset that Marquez KO'd him when here on planet earth Marquez is my all-time favorite fighter and I've followed his career since the 90's and spent thousand$$$ watching him live a ton of times and actually got ****face drunk celebrating that KO and I hate Pacquaio lol that's proof most posters don't even read they just write their BS (kinda like that fight club line about not listening just waiting for your chance to talk). Pacquaio fans paint me as a Mayweather fan because I say Marquez is a great fighter. There's a lot of ****** fans that are caught in a Mayweather-Pacquaio war and some make it racial.

Anytime somebody says "my race/my country has the best ___" you know they are a racist and are insecure.

Most boxing fans are casual fans and a large number of them are ****** and bigoted. This place maybe more so than most and IMO the board needs a re-vamp. Create a noob section and posters have to be approved by others with good reputation and can't start a thread until x amount of green k or approved posts.

While I think Canelo is still on PEDS, I don't like "automatic hatred" that certain fans display toward fighters, based solely on ethnicity

I am not reffering to posters on this or any other website, like you said alot aren't even fight fans alot are just cheerleaders. Not talking about state commitions or anything like that I am pointing at the press and their "writers" . Just look at their articles on this website relating to canelo vs ggg...its all one sided.

Look at the Lomachenko-M. Garcia situation. Where did all this animosity towards Mikey come from? What has he done to deserve this? Besides beating guys years ago that Loma lost to and beat years after him.

Probably the fact that he throws out certain names between fights and then fights completely different people. You cant keep saying you'll fight Spence, Crawford, Lomachenko, Pac or whomever and then fight guys levels below.

Mexican fighters are historically some of the most exciting fighters on the planet. The Hate against Canelo has more to do with terrible scorecards in EVERY big fight hes in and also hes perceived as a Diva and now a PED cheat..

I'll say it again the media were the ones who built GGG up to something he never was, openly rooted for him against Canelo, Fat boy Dan scoring a fight where his phuking twitter background pic is of GGG on some uber fanboy shyt. They saw their hero who they wanted to come in like the white knight and slay the cheating Canelo. They spent months tearing Canelo down and you think they going to score the fight in his favor? Even after GGG get's his face rearranged, stalked and walked down Mexican Style by the little man after taunting him to fight Mexican Style no less. And they couldn't give to Canelo so almost all used the it's a draw to save face and then a few said GGG still won. Almost none of the media said Canelo won. The problem is the fighters and trainers overwhelming agree with the judges and said Canelo won. We talking elite fighters, hall of famers, P4P guys, so you telling me Golden Boy paid off the judges INCLUDING the only judge from the first fight that gave it to GGG then went and paid off all these fighters and trainers too? Some of the guys on the list hate Canelo like phuking poison with major grudges against him and still saying Canelo won.

So something don't smell right when 95% media putting out a narrative and saying Canelo didn't win and damn near 75% of fighters and trainers saying he won. Sure some fighters said GGG won too but more said Canelo and my point isn't it has to be 100% or one side is right or wrong but you have a large amount thinking canelo won and it's totally not reflected in 5% in the media that says Canelo won. Either all these professional judges, world class and hall of fame fighter and trainers don't know how to score fights OR the media was on GGG's sack and bitter so they refuse to admit Canelo whooped their hero.

The bottom line is you can name as many people as you want that had Canelo winning but more people had Golovkin winning or a draw.

It was a close azz fight that Canelo got the nod in. They'll do it again in May and I bet we see the same close fight for a 3rd time.
