[QUOTE=Bronx2245;19118908]You need a rematch with BJ Saunders first:

BJS would box DL ears off again!
I rather watch BJS vs Canleo.

I don't mean any disrespect but Lemieux comparing himself to Canelo, is a reach. Even this version of Golovkin KO's Lemieux.

The way he destroyed Sullivan, means he got his mojo back. GGG would again use his powerful jabs to unsettle Lemieux but Lemieux is not as fast as Canelo

GGG only looks like he has "slipped " as the competition got stiffer!!

            I actually like this plan.

At this point, I think both Golovkin and Alvarez need breaks from each other. Let Alvarez unify with Saunders. Trip G can get a belt back and maybe even defend once. Than, if the interest is still there, the Alvarez Golovkin rematch of the rematch can be for all the titles.

As for Lemieux? Prove you are what you are. Go get Charlo. He needs a dance partner.

Exactly. Most people who know boxing saw GGG win both fights, about 8-4. Regardless of how brave, aggressive and exciting Canelo looked in the 2nd. Still, he landed less and received more. And he got hurt in round 10 of the 2nd. GGG never got hurt in any of the fights.

Also yes, Lemieux looked pathetic vs. Saunders in his own country, and they want HIM to be next opponent for Canelo? Ridiculous.

Canelo-Saunders should be the next fight for Canelo, because he doesn't have THAT belt and if he doesn't beat the guy with the other belt, then he is not "the best" until he does so, and all that "Mexican style" talk is garbage, the most cowardly, super-defensive, super-cheating (hugging and elbowing all fight long, no penalties whatsoever from sellout referees) "fighter" in boxing history, Mayweather Jr., sold PPVs like crazy. Granted, people paying for that are beyond ******, but still, he is the biggest seller of PPVs ever in boxing, and he is one of the most boring, cowardly and depressing top fighters EVER.

Lemieux may have problems with boxers, but at least I can say a 2nd fight with GGG would be much closer than the first. I'd like to see him vs a bunch of top MWs... including GGG and Canelo. May be a bit rough around the edges, but always comes to fight and I don't remember him ducking anyone so far.

Well unfortunately age catches up to us all. With GGG I can detect some slight slippage in him. Whether he is still good enough to defeat David Lemieux is still up for debate. Only time will reveal.

Lemieux is a gatekeeper, not a contender
