Theres only another year and change left. I dont see anyone topping his resume.

And he has wins over some of the runner ups. Canelo, Pac.

Yea homedog, but still, IF he vanquishes Fury and Wilder in megafights, unifying and consolidating his position as Heavyweight king, you have to give it to him.

I give Floyd credit for being smart, he did end up draining him, he didn't drain Cotto or Mcgregor at 154 but he knew that even a green Canelo is a hard puncher.

You can call it a good win because Canelo has improved and has now become a top fighter but there's no way imo that you can say he wasn't green or he's the same prime fighter he is now 5 years later.
you make some good valid points but there was such a gulf in class and ability I can't see what would be different if that version of Floyd fought the current canelo even at 154 (if canelo could make it for arguments sake)

he might be able to make it a bit closer at best but he just couldn't get on the inside and didn't have the footwork to beat floyd to the punch and as far as I can see that hasn't changed enough to convince me he could ever beat him outside a lucky punch

as for Maywether as FOTD I think so yea he beat guys who are still around collecting belts and also beat a guy who went on to hold the MW title in cotto

it would be a cert if he fought another 2 years at top level but someones going to have to do something special to top him

I don't think anyone else is near the same ballpark so far so Floyd seems obvious

Possible but I think they'll give it Lomachenko.
