it's really telling that stephen a smith's opinions even get mentioned. the average dude in nsb knows more about boxing than SAS. really. he does. like you said, for some reason stephen a smith has been placed into a position where he is talking about boxing more than a couple of times a year, and this has been going on for about two years. prior to that he never talked about the sport outside of mayweather - pacquiao, a fight that didn't happen for six years.

it's painfully obvious that smith just repeats things that he hears or is told. his scorecards mean nothing more than the scorecards of a dude you talk to in a bar.

Im not a fan of watch it on mute, I don't think the commentators did this fight any justice, I'll say watch it in a language you don't understand, I saw it again on Youtube and different fight.

He is not wrong. The three judges got it right this time guys. Personally, I scored it for GGG but I am not an official judge. In any case, it was a very close fight which could have been easily ruled a draw or could have gone either way. Obviously, they favored the aggressive style and flashier combination punches of Canelo over Gennady's consistent jab.
