And randomly this is leaning me more towards HBO being done cuz now HBO has let go Kovalev, Canelo, GGG & Buffer & Jacobs is fighting his last fight with HBO next month. And there is nothing on the schedule.

Randomly has anyone hit up Max or Jim or RJJ on SM & asked them about this HBO is done with boxing sh^t?

Based on Roy Jones Jr. Comment after the fight Saturday, it does sound good at all he said flat out that

"he doesn't think a 3rd Fight going to happen because they having issues with the Network"

Theyre still paying Eric Raskin and Kieran Mulvaney to do the HBO boxing podcast, amazingly. They did a podcast every day last week leading up to the fight.

I don't even listen, but I've been following their podcast to see if they quietly drop off.

Yea I always listen to them. But they always do a every day episode for fight week for Canelo fights so nothing unusual there. It'd be interesting if they stop doing the podcast after Jacobs vs Derevyanchenko.

Also I don't think its THAT expensive to put together a podcast. Those cats probably can't pay for their monthly Starbucks off of what HBO pays them for that. Although I'd be curious what they do get paid.

But I mean who's with HBO contractually right now? Its Jim, Max & RJJ, but they announce the fights & Jim specifically gots a show still so you'd expect them to be here still. And the podcast guys lol. Which boxers, not fighting next month, got a deal with them? Idk that anyone does.

I'm a little unclear if he's suggesting Canelo & GGG are having issues with the network or they all are having issues with the network?

Cuz obviously GGG & his side are pissed at everyone right now including HBO and that was before the L. And even Oscar has said some cryptic things about HBO, but idk what his options really are w/o HBO & he can't be THAT pissed. But the whole boxing thing seems to be shutting down next month so it might extend past GGG & Canelo.

Its a weird look right now w/e ends up happening is all I know for sure.

From a business standpoint, the last thing one would expect them to do is announce they're not doing boxing anymore, even if they aren't, because that would trigger a loss of subscribers. I'd expect them to put on the bare minimum number of boxing shows to keep x amount of subscribers and that's that.

Which seems to be what they're doing.

Benedict Buffer is for sure Eddie's best new signing.

Definitely a smart move doe for DAZN/Hearn. Nothing says big & important fight like Buffer calling out the names. GGG vs Canelo 2 seemed a lil smaller cuz Buffer wasn't involved if you ask me. That Martinez or w/e his name was guy is like 5 levels below Buffer. At least get the dreadlocks down to his knees guy. He's only like 2 or 3 levels below Buffer.
