Canelo vs GGG = Pac vs Marquez?

What do you guys think? Is history repeating itself? No matter how much GGG does, he will not get a decision win over Canelo. This kinda remind me of Marquez against Manny. Canelo is the money maker here so if it's a close fight, Canelo will get the win. This fight plays out similar to Manny vs Marquez. Manny was the busier fighter but marquez landed the cleaner shot. In the Canelo/GGG fight, GGG was the busier guy but Canelo landed the cleaner shot.

    GGG did better than Marquez.

Marquez got his ass knocked down in every one of those close fights.

GGG should have taken notes from Marquez. Marquez handled his business in the fourth fight knowing that if it was a close fight and went to the scorecards he could get shafted.

Not as Marquez actually got robbed in 2 if the bouts. Ggg has no claim to anything as he got outboxed in the 1st and slapped around and lit up in the 2nd.

Agreed that Marquez got knocked down in all 4 fights but im talking about the politics. To me, GGG is in the same boat as Marquez when he's fighting against Canelo.

I don't think so. Canelo won this one more decisively than the first. This fight reminded me more of Leonard's first fight against Duran. Leonard was America's posterboy too, but surprised a lot of people by standing in front of Duran, but Duran relished it, punished Leonard and left no doubt in the judges minds .

Marquez got robbed. 97G proved he can not beat Canelo decisively. That's the difference.

Agreed! Seeing how the first fight went, i'm not sure why GGG didnt go for broke, especially in the later rounds. GGG should have just said "fuck it" and start throwing. He knows he's not gonna win a decision so might as well swing for the fences.

The rivalry could be as big, if it isn’t yet. But stylewise nah, Pac’s style was always taylor made for Marquez, but because of his physical gifts, awkwardness, 2nd-3rd gears and other intangibles he was able to make them close wars. And even happened to win a couple to the judges eyes. That says a lot.

GGG meanwhile ain’t taylor made for canelo. Last sat was not as exciting as I II IV of pac-marquez.
But definitely better than the III.

GGG ain’t tailor made for canelo.

Difference is canelo dosen't lunge in with his hands down and head up in the air like manny does.
