Canelo won that round. GGG started off well but Canelo won the last 2 minutes and landed the better punches.

GGG landed a bunch of jabs in the beginning but Canelo landed what had to be at least a 2-1 edge in power shots. He landed with everything. To the body, uppercuts, left hooks, lead right hands. And they were quality power punches to boot.
Good round. But it’s not up to debate imo.

Well, I just reviewed round 12 of GGG-Canelo. The rest of the fight notwithstanding, round 12 decided the fight. IMO there is no way Canelo won that round. GGG landed more punches and landed many hard ones.

First night I saw it I thought Canelo.
Watched the fight again and thought GGG because he landed big shots early.
I watched it a 3rd time a noticed that Canelo dominated the last half and hurt Golovkin 3 times to the body, the last 1:10 Canelo lands a right hand to the body and it makes GGG retreat faster then he has at any point in the fight. Canelo shakes his hands at him like "Come on" they trade again the Canelo beats up the body again and GGG goes back again. The third body shot to hurt him was a left to the body and it hurt GGG the worst, he pulled back a right hand he wanted to throw to protect the body. It's definitely a swing round but Canelo did best imo. I think Abel saw it also that's why he said GGG gave away the 12th.
Watch the last 1:10 of the round, look at the body work and look at what GGG does after those big shots.
