Both fights were close and as much as I think that the constant whining and complaining by GGG and his team is classless, baby-like and annoying, I gave the nod to Golovin in the first fight and to Canelo in the second. There is no need for a third fight. It is simply a money grab by GGG. Perhaps more importantly, the world does not need to be subjected to more crying, complaining and name calling by GGG, UnAble Sanchez, and the GGG cheerleaders.

It is far better to have Canelo concentrate on other worthy opponents and that GGG do a farewell tour in Europe and Asia fighting regional champions and tomato cans.

He needs to humble himself. No one likes a sore loser. Say you thought you won if you thought you won, but give props and dont whine.

Then again this is probably boxingscene being boxingscene planning to spread out 20 topics from a single interview over a few weeks.

Abel did ggg a disservice by telling every and anyone that ggg would ko Canelo if Canelo decided to trade. His loss lies squarely on the image they created of being a ko monster.
GGG was a bum beater his entire career until 2017 when he finally met elite opponents Jacobs & Canelo. The Middleweight division was a weak division until Canelo & Charlo moved up. Facts !

Canelo took the win from golovkin. He was the better man.

Canelo was smaller but his balls were bigger. Ginger gained my respect.

I want to see a 3rd fight so that GGG cheerleaders can finally see how their man gets outclassed and stopped late. Btw GGG fought regional champs & tomato cans his entire career until 2017. Useless to do it again for peanuts and without World titles.

I don't pretend to be an expert on altitude training, but GGG's stamina looks worse each fight! I'm sure Canelo's body attack has something to do with it, but something else seems to be happening! Maybe it's Father Time? Roy Jones Jr. said GGG is staying in Big bear too long! I thought that was supposed to be a good thing?

Given the age disparity, there is no way the Canelo and GGG could have fought each other at their peak prime. When GGG was 28 Canelo was 20. Now that Canelo is 28 GGG is 36, "c'est la vie" or in deference to GGG's affinity for Mexican Style, in Spanish it is: "asi es la vida."

But the reality is that GGG has been chasing money, not legacy from day 1. He has also been careful to minimize risk. He kept calling out a much smaller Mayweather and kept calling out Canelo when Canelo became a rainmaker, even to the point of saying the 5'8" Canelo was bigger than him. It is only after Canelo signed to fight him that GGG admitted that Canelo was much smaller. It is for that reason that GGG avoided Andre Ward and others.

I am not a fan of Alvarez, but listen... anybody that says GGG won the first fight, while also saying GGG won the second fight is a pure bred canelo hater. The same method GGG used to win fight 1, being aggressive and coming forward, are the exact same methods Canelo used in fight 2. All the whining folk did about Canelo fighting on the back foot in fight 1 are defending GGG for doing that less effectively in fight 2? Insanity. GGG, accept your loss as your trainer did. He whispered in your ear that you were losing. Your face was all messed up. You backed up 7-8 rounds of the fight and that is NOT your style. Canelo showed everything a mfer would wanna see from a boxer in the ring that night. He won. Simple and plain.

GGG was ducked like crazy at 160.

All top contenders suddenly became bums in hindsight when GGG disposed of them with ease.
