That is not the way I understand pfp ratings. I think it is supposed to be based on how good YOU THINK a boxer is for his weight class right now, today. It should be what you think of the boxer's fighting ability not official verdicts which can be horrible and wrong as hell.It shouldn't be based on how others scored a fight either but how you scored the fight. If you don't do things that way it really isn't your pfp list but somebody else's. Like you I thought GGG won both fights. To me the only score card that matters is mine when I make my pound for pound top 10 best list. I don't give a damn about the official verdict or how other people scored the fight. GGG and Canelo are evenly matched and Canelo gets better every fight while GGG stays excellent but gets older. GGG may never beat Canelo in Vegas. That doesn't matter to me. I thought GGG won two close fights so I rank him 2nd pound for pound behind Loma and Canelo 3rd pound for pound. Others may not like this but it's my list not theirs.Comment

I agree. If you think GGG just got through defeating Canelo in the ring it makes no sense to rank him lower than Canelo PFP. If someone thinks Canelo won the fight then Canelo should be ranked higher than GGG on their list. It all comes down to personal opinion. Everybody gets to be the boss of their own list and no two people's lists will ever be exactly the same. It's just opinion anyway and not provable fact.Comment

Not sure why people are leaving GGG off some lists, he was top 3 and some people think he deserves to be 2-0 vs Canelo.Comment

True but each individual should still have some criteria and not just put the guys they like most at the top and say "it's my list I can do what I want".I agree. If you have GGG ahead of Canelo, fine. Just shouldn't have either GGG or Canelo ahead of more deserving fighters.Comment

Yeah true that's a good point but I do try go with official cards unless it's a complete highway robbery and no-one saw it the way the judges did but I see both sides of the argument. Main criteria for my list is quality of wins in last few years, not so much on eye test and hypotheticalThat is not the way I understand pfp ratings.
