It's a tough fight to call right now imo. I think Canelo has the edge in experience, toughness, and chin. Charlo is probably quicker to the punch and he's just so damn big and electric. Those twins generate a lot of torque on their shots. I also think Mall has a more intentional (and less educated) jab than Golovkin. Meaning it comes harder and with less thought ( I'm saying this makes it quicker lol).

I think it comes down to who's counter shots are more effective. For this reason, I lean towards Canelo. However, Mall has shown the ability to be a very solid fighter at making adjustments.

I could see a fight where Canelo is outboxing him for 4 or so rounds and then he adjusts and start landing those sharp counters and jabs. The question becomes how sharp will Mall be by rounds 8 or 9. Canelo's body work would have set in by this point. How the twin handles that will determine if he can pull it off or not. His power is an unknown variable in all of this imo. We just don't know how real it is.

Why bother writing about GGG's future when Sanchez said GGG would be resting until May and the plan is to have the third fight in May?

Canelo too skilled right now for the big Charlo. I think Canelo's defense and eyes are very underated. Eyes , i mean he is calm in the pocket and sees all the punches coming. He has good head movement. I saw Charlo fight Williams and Heliand. Good fighter from distance. I think Canelo wins the mid range and inside aspects. Body shots are the big difference. I would like to see Canelo fight Jacobs-Devrychenko winner and Charlo fight Andraade - Billy Joe Saunders winner. Let GGG fight Murata or go up to 168 for Zurdo.

For all this talk about Mayweather-Pacquiao 2, folks are ignoring the reality that for Floyd to get his $100m guaranteed, Pacquiao is going to have to take a drastic paycut, and it earnestly seems like Pacquiao thinks that winning the regular WBA belt actually gives him a say in anything.

The biggest fight for May 2019, the next major event, is likely Mayweather-Alvarez 2 at middleweight.

It's over. It wasn't even that great of a saga anyways. MW destroyed him. The end. I don't think it's fair to put a (semi) retired MW against Canelo who's obviously in his prime.
            Ggg fought vanes lmao.

              100 percent agree

With all this talk about Canelo vs. Lemieux, who would you like to see Jermall fight next, besides Canelo? I really don't want to see Willie Monroe Jr.! I would love to see Charlo vs. GGG, but I don't think that's possible due to network issues.

The way things have played out, his only options are Monroe Jr. And Culcay. Nothing that interesting.

I say he needs to fight both lol In November and February. Get them out of the way lol

This is beyond ridiculous, everything said in that commentary.

The next fight of Canelo should be vs. Saunders, period. The latter has a belt that Canelo doesn't have. Of course, if it takes place in Vegas, it is a sure win for Canelo, but if he has the balls to go to UK to defy him, the outcome could be totally different because this time he wouldn't have the benefit of 1) fighting an over the hill opponent and 2) having a sure win if the fight went to a decision, no matter how good or bad he did during the fight.

Fighting Lemieux is just utterly ridiculous, it is simply ******. Lemieux got DESTROYED EASILY by both GGG and Saunders. He is not even in the same league as Canelo. What a ****** suggestion for a next fight. Sounders is the only real choice if Canelo is for real.

And the other stuff the commentator mentioned, that Canelo's last fight should be taken separately and supposedly was so even, that a draw or a narrow victory either way was a fair result, doesn't make any sense either. Most commentators and boxing experts worldwide saw it 116-112 in favor of GGG. He connected the best shots. He connected MORE shots. He badly stunned Canelo in the 10th, while Canelo never ever stunned GGG. In the end GGG, just like in the previous fight, threw and connected way more punches than Canelo, and snapped his face back time after time with straights, overhands, hooks, uppercuts and jabs. He was way more active and effective. Canelo was the aggressor and the one going forward most of the fight, and he certainly connected the best body punches but that's it. Props to him for his bravery, guts, drive and desire to win, but that's just not enough. Attitude doesn't win a fight. Connected punches do. GGG won in that department, in both fights. But both fights took place in Vegas. So there you go.

Interesting thought about Canelo-Floyd rematch in 2019.

If Floyd beats Manny again and calls out Canelo for MW title. Its record breaking for both...Floyd goes for MW throne and Canelo revenge. Would be very fun, but I think Canelo wins easy at this point.

Like it or not McGregor was 3-3 after 6 rounds with Floyd. Let that sink in
Cliff Rold is the truth! One of the best in the game by far.

Even at this point it won't be easy for Canelo due to the stylistic problems Floyd poses to him. But I do agree he will be a favorite at this point, especially if the fight is at 160 which it should be.
