I don't really care about Spence/Garcia not happening because I'd rather see Garcia/Loma and Spence/Porter or Thurman.
Definitely agree with the last point but the Porter/Thurman fights aren't happening next. Spence wants to get in another fight before the end of the year or one early next year.

Mayweather/Pacquiao rematch delaying Wilder/Fury would be terrible. Lets see what happens.

Also, seems like the T-Mobile arena is booked on December 1st and December 8. Does that mean we see Wilder/Fury taking place at the Barclays instead? I mean if the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight doesn't take place this year as rumored?

I think it’s all tactical, release it this week so the main topic of conversation in the build up to the fight of Povetkin and Joshua everyone on camera is asking AJ and Hearn about Wilder and Fists of Fluff Fury, the whole Sky ppv will help promote Wilder and Fury, masterstroke really.

All the announcement serves to do is to officially open up the media hype season.

When you look at it that way, this week is the best time to do it since there will definitely be some attention on AJ. It's a free way to hype the fight as you know every other question will be about Wilder or Fury or Wilder vs Fury.

            A no brainer really...
Firstly they could have had that anyway, with the added advantage of the mainstream media in Vegas for Canelo-GGG. If they are going to be fighting in Vegas then they need to hype the fight there.

However, I'll admit that I don't think that the fight happens, not this year at least. Floyd vs Manny 2 in December will kill the fight dead.

Floyd vs Manny aint happening in December if it is serious. Floyd is 41 and Pac is a few month away from 40 himself.

Bodies that old need more than a couple of months to get ready for a fight and pride is not going to let either guy cut corners.

A Pac vs Floyd rematch happens next year at the earliest if it happens at all.

Floyd Mayweather's clash with Manny Pacquiao could be finalized this week, two December dates under consideration.

In the story Manny says "Floyd or someone else" so you might be spot on.

I don't mind the fight, but not at the expense of Wilder-Fury.
