No the three judges did. Prizefighting is a very subjective process. Nowadays, ring generalship has become an endangered species in the sport of boxing. Nowadays judges tend to favor the aggressive fighter over the boxer/puncher.

i feel like the first fight was a clear robbery and a GGG win (not a destruction but a clear win maybe 8-4 or 7-5) and this fight I felt was either a very close GGG win or a draw, but not a roidnelo win

That's how I saw it. I thought the fight should have been scored at least a draw but at the same time I could understand how the three judges rationalized scoring the fight the way they did just as Abel Sanchez can. He had no qualms about the decision either. It wasn't a robbery. It was just a close fight that could have easily been ruled at least a draw but Canelo was the house fighter and therefore got the nod and the benefit of the doubt of a razor thin decision.

People are saying GGG lost because he backed up. If this is the case why didnt GGG win the first fight?

I didn't see anyone say he lost because he backed up. He lost a one round fight. Virtually a draw by most peoples standards. Alot of people even say he won. Fair enough. But had nothing to do with backing up. And everything to do with being hit with hard shots. In both fights.
