Lol? I've defended GGG for a very long time, I thought he won the first fight, and I thought it would be poetically just for him to finally get that big win last night. But, Canelo fought a terrific fight! He stood in front of GGG and made him miss, made him hesitant, countered him well and often, and effectively fatigued GGG enough, by successfully going to the body, to prevent GGG from taking advantage of Canelo's own fatigue issues.

So true, and it's a shame because boxing is so much more enjoyable when you just take it for what it is (entertainment) rather than getting so hung up on some dude you don't even know and trying to defend him to death no matter what.

Fights like these are close when both men are evenly matched and neither are shown to be visibly hurt, it's difficult to gauge how much damage is inflicted and therefore who won the round. And when clean effective blows are landed they're negated by other's own landed punch. So who wins the round then. It depends on how you interpret effective aggression, ring generalship and defense.

Golovkin couldn't take his man out let alone hurt him and Canelo couldn't do same and while landing less.

So it comes down to what do you like more, Golovkin's jabs or Canelo's body punching. Which do you give more weight to. While taking into consideration Canelo pressed Golovokin the whole time, Golvokin wasn't boxing and moving because he wanted to Canelo forced him to. This was Canelo's fight the way it was fought but he landed less jabs while at the same time landed more power punches than Golovkin.
