If GGG was as good as you all think he is. The fight shouldn't have even been close, leave no doubt. But of course the most feared middleweight barley edged decisions vs Jacobs and Canelo.

This is true. Canelo showed heart and was the smaller guy too. But why does it sound like you're just a GGG-hater? You mad about something?

Hagler was 33ish when he retired, with 3 defeats and 2 draws.

Leonard tried to come back at 34 and lost to Norlan.

Hearns was 34 when he lost his last real title.

Roman G is 31ish and he's looking like he's on his last legs.

Matthysse is shot and out @ 35.

Provodnikov was shot and out by 32.

Bradley was shot and out by 32.



And so forth...


If anything, it's impressive that Golovkin can put up a superb performance at 36 years of age against a prime fighter.

Max and Roy were on Canelos sack from round 1. All this BS about the "story of the fight" kellerman kept talkin. They said g was gassed by the 3rd yet he outthrew Canelo ever round lol. 7-5 G or a draw.

It's crazy Canelo at his peak goes life and death with G who's certainly no longer at his best. Shows how good G really is. I expect a 3rd fight or G retires.

Overall it was a good fight not mad at Canelo he fought well i just think they switched roles and G did better. G was never in trouble Canelo was. That's what edge it for GGG for me.

GGGs concussive power is one dimensional. He fought a world championship Calibre fighter and couldn't adjust. Canelo took it to his body and went headhunting whenever he felt like it. Face it, whether you love or hate Canelo, he left no doubts about his heart and his abilities with this fight.

The body work of Canelo was totally awesome in this fight.

The Body work was the difference in this fight. I would not be surprised if GGG has a broken rib. I thought the fight was about to end in the seventh or eighth, but to GGG's credit, he not only survived, he fought harder, and won some rounds. I still had the fight in Canelo's favor, but that guy made it a lot closer in the later rounds. GREAT FIGHT!!! Props to both Warriors!
