Second fight canelo neutralized GGG power. Second fight GGG scared to throw body shots for fear of being countered. Second fight canelo outlanded the ko monster in power shots. Second fight canelo had higher connect rate. Second fight GGG face more phuked up after the fight. Can't use running excuse because backed GGG up all night and GGG own trainer told him he's losing it deep in the fight. Canelo is just the better fighter. No adjustments just excuses from GGG fans

I thought canelo clearly lost the fight. He was flat footed, had ok stamina, and wasn’t aggressive enough. Most of his shots were blocked as well. In fact, he can’t fight on the move which is why golovkin kept turning him around in a circle. It is what it is, though. Great fight. Vegas is the Mecca of corruption.

The body work of Canelo was totally awesome in this fight.

If GGG was as good as you all think he is. The fight shouldn't have even been close, leave no doubt. But of course the most feared middleweight barley edged decisions vs Jacobs and Canelo.

He's 36 years old.

Hagler was 33ish when he retired, with 3 defeats and 2 draws.

Leonard tried to come back at 34 and lost to Norlan.

Hearns was 34 when he lost his last real title.

Roman G is 31ish and he's looking like he's on his last legs.

Matthysse is shot and out @ 35.

Provodnikov was shot and out by 32.

Bradley was shot and out by 32.



And so forth...


If anything, it's impressive that Golovkin can put up a superb performance at 36 years of age against a prime fighter.

If you have read my comments lately, you would acknowledge I´m a big Canelo fan, fancy him above GGG if you will. I personally felt that GGG connected more this fight, but fought Canelo´s fight. When the scores were read I was expecting 115-113 GGG, but it was the other way around. While feeling that the judges would favor GGG for being the champion, I reckon he backed up the entire fight and looked as if he was going to take a knee at one point from those body punches. I watched the fight on a British network and Barry McGuigan and David Haye had it on point, giving Canelo credit for slipping punches, coming forward, landing the more telling shots, etc. They made me more comfortable with the outcome and now am Convinced Canelo won that fight. I really enjoyed it, made my year. Here´s the fight if you missed it.

it was a close fight. Canelo created a good lead in the first half as Ggg started super slow again. GGG made a great rally in the later rounds that is why people are swayed with their recent memory. And then came the 12th round where Canelo closed the show better.

Understandable decision imo.

Just didn’t feel any sense of urgency from golovkin in the early rounds after all that talk since it’s also one of their flaws in the first fight.

They also didn’t have any strategy to begin with in case canelo fights that way.

Max and Roy were on Canelos sack from round 1. All this BS about the "story of the fight" kellerman kept talkin. They said g was gassed by the 3rd yet he outthrew Canelo ever round lol. 7-5 G or a draw.

It's crazy Canelo at his peak goes life and death with G who's certainly no longer at his best. Shows how good G really is. I expect a 3rd fight or G retires.

Overall it was a good fight not mad at Canelo he fought well i just think they switched roles and G did better. G was never in trouble Canelo was. That's what edge it for GGG for me.
