I think GGG held his own in exchanges, they both got the better of some of them, the ones that look bad are where Canelo's speed advantage is really obvious.
GGG's problem is that Canelo's puncher are always going to look flashier and even harder. For as hard as GGG hits, he has never looked like he is throwing particularly hard shots, where as Canelo is grunting and throwing with explosive mean intentions, with speed.
That alone will make Canelo look like he got the better of an exchange. Because when fast hands start flying, and he is moving his head, it can be hard in the moment to tell who is hitting who harder unless its a really clean shot.
I loved his uppercut, I wish he used it more in the fight, he landed it almost every single time he threw it, and it was very effective.
