I really don't get why because for me that's his key to victory.
For someone with known stamina issues, it's the obvious way to get him out of there, but I believe he was too worried about getting countered up top while trying to invest in them.

Man I don't give a dam what anyone says Canelo is the truth...I'm so proud of how that kid fought tonight. GGG should be ashamed of himself after talking all that Mexican style garbage he throws 6000 jabs lol

Yeah Canelo had the ability to counter him at will.

When I thought about this fight the first time I expected Canelo to take long breaks on the ropes which he did, and that was a window for GGG to go to work. But he just didn't.

I expected Canelo to fight the same and GGG to adjust but it was actually the opposite.

Seems GGG can't make adjustments but I've never considered him a smart fighter to be honest.

because when you're throwing body punches, it opens you up for counters. He didn't like what he was getting though he said they were "pitty pat". Well those pitty pat punches must have been hurting

Easy he didn't just go from the so called best body puncher in the sport to forgetting what a body shot was. Canelo hits hard and he was scared shytless of throwing it and getting countered especially something he don't see coming. Canelo too it away by putting the fear of God in him. Refused to take risks and maybe gets layed out or his face even more rearranged if he does. He went from Mexican style to scared jab style. Canelo is just the better fighters. GGG couldn't make adjustments in either fight.
