i'm not mad about Nelo winning by the way per se, I have been a Nelo fan for years and stopped to follow him with the 155 caneloweight bias campain.
He somehow gained me as a fan again last night.
I truly respect his last night performance.
I don't give a sht about GGG losing, that's the kinda loss/fight that will make you seen more as a legend than a bum, he was part of a legendary competitive fight.
I'm pissed off at Vegas boxing and GBP a bunch of snakes ruining the sport if you ask me.
Narrow scoring because yes, GGG out of those 2 fights and 6 judges card only getting 1 card as him being the winner is a travesty.Comment

Teddy Atlas called it right after the fight, as he usually does. "Follow the money", he said. "They know that Canelo will guarantee big Pay For View dollars with his big following in the latin community." Spot on. In the first fight, GGG won clearly, but they couldn't let that happen so they give Canelo a draw so as to give him a second chance. (And a second PPV bonanza!) In this fight, he does better, but still loses, and yet they award him a gift decision. I smelled it coming a mile away. All I see and hear are DeLaHoya, Golden Boy, Tecate, and the unbearable team of Lampley and Kellerman. Only a couple of rounds gone and Max is blathering about how Canelo is winning the "story of the fight". Not winning the fight, which what Max is supposedly there to call, but the "story" of the fight. They sold me a story alright, but I'm not buying. They jobbed Kovalev in the same way. For several years Sergey bested all comers including the great Berndard Hopkins, while the HBO team kept their golden boy Andre Ward on their top FIVE pound for pound list. This was for years while Ward didn't fight, and then fought tune-up quality fighters. When Ward finally meets Kolvalev, Sergey drops him, and beats him. But the judges gift Ward with a pig-stinking decision and the HBO guys continue to herald Ward as the greatest fighter around. In the second fight, Kovalev was ahead again, so Ward begins to repeatedly foul him with low blows. Ward should have been DQ'd in my opinion, but instead gets another gift call. The HBO crew now calls Ward the greatest fighter of the modern age. He retires, conveniently "undefeated", goes on to host the 'Contender' TV show, and now acts as HBO's new boxing emeritus with his wizened horn rimmed glasses. This kind of crap is why despite my decades of love for the sport, I am sickened by the corruption and bullcrap.Comment

GGG's lack of body work really hurt him. That made it easier on Canelo, because Canelo only had to worry about what was coming upstairs.Comment
