Froch was 35 when he beat Kessler, and was no doubt #2 behind Ward at the time. Holyfield won a title in 2000 against Ruiz at 38. Rigondeaux conquered everything around him until Lomachenko. And Golovkins best wins up to Jacobs are all Martinez leftovers (who were high ranked). You're hating hard for the sake of this age excuse, but it's whatever. I really don't care to keep going anymore.
I'm hating? LMFAO. I've praised just about every fighter you mentioned. Just because you want to act like age isn't a factor for whatever personal reasons you want to pretend age in a sport like boxing isn't relevant. Hell this isn't baseball, it's not the NBA, and even in those sports giving a 35 year old athlete anything close to an elite level pay via contract is risky as fk..and that's to play ball not get punched in the face. Sit back for a moment and understand what i'm saying...you calling someone elite and them being elite are two different things. Once having being elite does not mean you remain that, especially if you aren't fighting anyone who is considered elite. Losing to elite fighters also doesn't keep you as elite which plenty of these guys did..LOSE after 35. You don't want to keep it going but here....don't take it from me....use google. Let science explain it to you. So if 20 people in thousands literally THOUSANDS within a sample size we can look at are the exception to the rule does that make the rule null and void? Again, don't let me say it..hit google and do your research and tell me 35 and over is still peak elite level of athleticism.

    • I had their first fight 7 to 5 for GGG.
In this one I had it the same, 7 to 5 but for Canelo.
I was impressed with how Canelo was completely able to implement and change his strategy for this fight, it's like he was an entirely different fighter this time around and that speaks volumes to how much he is still improving.
But as far as I am concerned they are 1 - 1 and a trilogy is needed. Also, +1 for Golovkin's monster chin, I think granite is not even proper for whatever the hell he has it made of.

Look i've already said what Golovkin had to do to win the fight, it had nothing to do with age. We are talking about age because I think he should retire, he ain't getting any better, faster, stronger, and his hand-eye coordination isn't going to improve. No excuse there, I'm 39 and I know I can't break/tweak/output the way I could in my 20's and even in my early 30s..has nothing to do with this fight. Even at 36 he stood there lick for lick with a man 8 years his age, why would there be an age excuse for him regarding this fight?

Yeah but that was in the 7th round....golovkin won almost every round after that....i had canelo up 4-3 after 7...golovkin then took 8,9,10,11.with three of those rounds hurting canelo badly.
12 was the only round where you couod give it to canelo but both had there moments.
I know you think golovkin won but yiu wont say it shoulder.
Both boxed and fought on the highest level tonight and they earnt there huge payday.

          • GGG has always been overrated. When you finally get your step up fight you end up being too cautious.
Canelo was their to get hit, GGG landed some great shots in the last few rounds, but never really capitalized. GGG always took the cautious approach. It was very annoying to watch.
GGG has himself to blame for what happened in the Canelo fights.

I had him winning both fights, but he could have and should have done more.

those won him the titles while GGG left the ring with his tail in between his legs.

Abel Sanchez was inwardly laughing at GGG for been defeated by a Mexican.

              Canelo made Abel proud.

and along comes Turned Up, right on cue lol

also check this out, from yesterday.....

Get Hopkins *** out of your mouth because I asked you to stop trolling and tell us what you enjoyed about the fight and actually talk boxing not this troll bullshhh you do for once. My bad, i'm sure that's too much to ask on a boxing site. The only reason why age is even in discussion here is because me and Shadow were talking about what Golovkin should do and I said retire because of his age and his decline. Sorry if you can't read, i'm not even going to assume that i'll state it as a fact. This fight didn't go the way it did because of age, it went the way it did because he had to go in there to destroy his opponent and not let it get to the cards. It was a great fight and I gave Canelo his props, I still think Canelo lost a close fight but i'm not bothered by the result either way. Now go eat lead chips, moron.

Both fights had a lot of close rds that put the decision in the margin of error for either guy to win. Virtually everyone of repute & not some nutty faceless internet guy is of the opinion a draw was fair (they usually just got a problem with Byrd's nutty ass scorecard) & tonight was close enough that another draw or a decision for either guy was reasonable.

Can't call it a bad decision when thats the reality. Well you can obviously, but its not what reasonable minds who know how boxing scoring works are saying.
I'm sick of those "could have gone either" bullsht.
You supposed now to overly dominate or it's a "could have gone either" fck it wich validate a small robbery.

That's not the case in both of those fights.

Look Bud had GGG winning again, Frampton said "**** off about that decision" and I'm pretty sure most boxers will have GGG clearly wining again, I mean, could have gone either, NO, I had GGG winning myself, period, if I thought it was that close, I would have a draw.

Pac vs Marquez are "could have gone either", GGG beat Canelo twice IMO, GGG had that little edge in both fights, and that's why most serious people, boxers had him wining.

When most serious people tell GGG won or could have gone either, then you know what's up.

I'm actually only seeing Larry and mexicans cats having the nerve to tell Clenelo won that fight.

You're a serious poster and I was pretty much sure you had GGG wining.

                    • Golovkin rounds 1,4,5,8,9,10,11
                      I had it 7-5 Golovkin
Could have given 11 and 12 to either to be honest.
