He is alive but in bad shape.

my fav enzo moment was when he eventually persuaded joe calzaghe who wanted to run from lacy, to face him. Enzo kept telling him lacy was crap but joe kept running away in fear, trying to find another bum to face.

And it proved enzo was right, lacy was crap enough for joe to outbox handily. The fight resulted in 34 year old joe challenging for the first time successfully for his first major title, and joes best ever performance, a points win, was put in against the mediocre lacy who got stopped by 40somethings.

Good thing enzo was around or joe would never have won a recognised title.
