rehydration for fight night is mostly water, weighins is pure muscle...
That really doesn't change the fact he weighs 160 in both photos. If he had to cut less water weight his muscles will naturally look fuller due to being more hydrated. It will be far more telling how he looks tomorrow when he's hydrated and at his natural weight.
He looks to me to be about 3-4 lbs smaller in terms of muscle mass, he's not as thick. He'll have less power but he didn't have to cut as much to make weight so maybe he'll have better stamina. And he should be lighter on fight night so that may translate into more stamina and more speed.
I think the biggest difference was when they faced off. Last year he looked bigger than Golovkin, this year he looks markedly smaller.
I think it'll come down to whether he can keep Golovkin off him.
Dude, those pictures are from a weigh in they are the same size because he weighs exactly the same. Let's see how much he rehydrates tomorrow and then make comments on his size.
Was he supposed to puff up like a toad last year but he won't this year? I'll bet he gains the same 10 to 12 pounds he always does and GGG will also gain the same 10 to 12 pounds he always does. Canelo looks great and the same in the 2017 photo and the 2018 photo. He doesn't look dehydrated in either photo. I see no reason why he would rehydrate to a lighter weight this year than last year.

If he weighs the same but has 3 pounds less muscle he must have 3 pounds more fat and I sure don't see much fat on him. If he has more speed he should have more punching power. If a punch is thrown with good leverage the faster the punch the harder it is.
