Beating Canelo doesn't make him anywhere near the greatest middleweight of all time. Canelo hasn't even beaten any real middleweights yet, to even say that he is a legit middleweight contender.

Golovkin fans..... lil'G did NOTHING other than fight no-hopers while waiting for a payday..... otherwise, Lampley would not be able to say what he just said lol
it is all about substance..... Golovkin needed to take the fights he avoided if he wanted his career to be memorable
Team Easy-Way-Out have tip-toed through the tulips while lying to their idiot fans..... which is not how you carve a memorable career
WHO did he beat, with consideration given to when/how
here is your problem.....
FACT: the list of fighters Golovkin avoided is MUCH bigger than his list of notable wins
aight
oh, and..... told ya so lol
what..... Lampley is just a hater now too, huh ?

THAT..... is the ONLY question that counts
Lampley understand boxing history
Golovkin needed to take the fights he avoided

of course it doesn't
but losing to Canelo will mean that Golovkin achieved little of note

This is coming from Jim Lampley, a commentator. He is "a guy who never laced up gloves, who dont know nothing about boxing." A guy who left his daughter in the crowd when there was a riot going on. GGG win or lose will be fine IMO. He can get knock off a few top guys and get right back. The middleweight division will be playing hot potato with the belts if Canelo beats GGG and loses right after.
