Why are canelo fans so mad? I thought they learned from floyd whooping his ass that the mental game is just as important as the physical confrontation.
FYI: GGG won his first major world championship, the WBA interim middleweight title, by defeating Milton Núñez in 2010. GTFOH, casual.
What does that have to do with my post? He fought in Panama for that fight and wasn't even signed to K2 or training with Sanchez. So yeat GTFOH casual!!!
If Loeffer is right and Bennet is just shrugging his shoulders as to the amount that can be used, instead of enforcing the limit rule, then that is a bit unprofessional of him. Why isn't he sticking to the rules?
That said, I doubt GGG's team is really that arsed about it. They've had the ploy and the idea to try piss Canelo's team off anyway they can from day 1 of this rematch. Even before negotiations started. I'd imagine this is just another case of it.
There was a video showing Sanchez watching Canelo getting his hands taped. He's saying during that taping Canelo's team used twice the amount of tape allowed under Nevada rules. He filed a protest so NSAC would rule on this for the upcoming match.
This is what I don't get .. why should he need to file a protest to get the NSAC to uphold one of its own rules?
So the issue here is that there are rules, and Canelo's side is unwilling to follow them. There shouldn't need to be a formal protest filed just to get a boxer to follow official rules.
You forgot the other part. The NAC inspector APPROVED the wrapping as hes in the room when they're doing it. And the Commission review sided with Canelo months later. They did nothing wrong.
