I know right!? This is the weirdest s*** ever! For as long as I can remember Fres has had fights announced for the 'regular' title, since 2014 after the Chagaev fight and every time a fight got announced it was cancelled. Why on earth has he not fought in 4 years? Did he not want to stay active or is this purely a cash grab?! He is 45 years old! I can't believe this fight is actually gonna happen this is nuts!

Fres Oquendo is the deserved winner of a lawsuit and gets his WBA "regular" title shot.

I hope he wins and sells the title to the highest bidder or gets a shot at AJ and cashes out big time.

I wanted this title fight a year ago with Briggs but he messed up. Charr got to become world champion and have a big show at home in his first defence now. Hopefully Fres wins and get a big fight too and everyone is a winner except for Shannon Briggs who tested positive for steriods.

Whyte doesn’t really need to be mandatory to fight Joshua. Joshua wants Whyte anyway. He would’ve needed that if it was to get to wilder, but wilder doesn’t think he’s worth the gamble to take on as he’s not confident enough/ doesn’t want to ruin any pay day against Joshua.
