I totally agree with you, am a massive fan and am patient but if he continues to call out the bigger names and then proceed to fight lesser fighters then he isn’t going to like the next spotlight on him.

The Pac fight was a tough sell when he first started calling for it a few years ago because of the Arum scenario (iirc). No one is pinning this on Spence at all. What I’m getting at is...so what he calls out people his division? He’s not at 147 and until he starts calling out people in his own division and fails to fight them then it’s a non issue. Everyone calls people out. Everyone.
Mikey has been fighting who he needs to fight in his own divisions, as he should. That’s good enough for me.
I think he’s a dummy for calling out a guy like Spence but whatever. I dont hold it against him the same way I dont hold it against Spence for not sending Canelo’s team an offer. Until they’re across the ring from each other or competing in the same division at least, calling people out is one of the oldest forms of fightER promotion...and accepting those call outs is the same S hit.
Accepting a call out from a guy that small and so far from the division, who has a bigger, higher rated name in his own division is akin to accepting a Nigerian Prince’s offer...not gonna happen. Spence is just returning the favor, as he should
Answering the call out is the same s hit. They both gain from it, especially considering their name value (Mikey might be an ever so slightly bigger name but theyre similar and Im a fan of both and I dont know the numbers...but he has significantly more credentials at least).
Basically...Spence isnt holding his breath and neither should you.

There is a huge difference of calling out big name fighters then fighting weaker competition immediately following your call outs. How can you use spence and canelo as examples??? Spence has been calling out all the big names in his own division but none of them have accepted! The reason kell fought him was because he didnt wanna lose his belt and was forced to fight spence as his mandatory.Comment

One of the best Fighters in Boxing P4P and currently one of my favorite fighters No Doubt but I would rather him put pressure on Loma and Bob Arum to make that fight just like fans are starting to apply pressure on Spence Jr and Crawford to get their fight done. For me Mikey vs Loma is just as BIG if not BIGGER and is PPV Worthy. Arum wants to make Loma is bigger star well that is the fight he has to make if not then he can keep Loma as a decent Draw on ESPN but his star power won't grow any bigger than it is now without venturing outside of Top Rank and making a Mikey Garcia Fight!
GENIUS Marketing from Mikey to mention all those fighters even if he doesn't fight them right now
I think he will get to 147 Eventually and will challenge them. If Mikey moves up correctly and not rush it, no question he can compete and probably BEAT some of those 147 Guys but he shouldn't just jump up to 147

You must be new because Showtime and Espinoza said that fight won't happen this year with Fury and Wilder getting priority for a PPV date. Boxing is a business, Mikey isn't going to take less money and give up options to make a fight when his opponent doesn't sell. No way Linares deserved the 50/50 split Oscar and GB wanted when Linares can't even sell 3k seats.Comment

If only it was that easy. Mikey had already went up to Loma in person and told him to move up if he really wants the fights, this was after he beat Sosa and called out Mikey. Loma ends up fighting Rigo and Marriaga, both of them moved up ti fight Loma. Arum already had Loma's next fight planned out after Linares. Arum isn't letting Loma near Mikey anytime soon. He has already said Mikey needs to agree to his terms and fight on ESPN. Right now, I don't care who he fights, as long as he agrees to fight Loma within the first half of 2019. I don't think Mikey will though as he has a history now of avoiding dangerous fightsComment
