If he were fighting Povetkin from 2015 it would be his toughest fight.

AJ doesn't get the respect he deserve for achieving all this in such a short period.
He deserves an accolade.

They're both champions now, they should both be fighting the best now, no excuses. How they got here doesn't concern me. Ortiz for Wilder was a great fight, Povetkin has earned his title shot and he's still a decent contender in a shallow division but I don't think he has much gas in the tank. He's still a dangerous puncher at least but I expect Joshua will make short work of him.
Fury for Wilder isn't great because I believe Fury is shot too, but if taking this fight helps him get Joshua next then I accept it. And Pulev is busy anyway.
After Wilder and Joshua I see the division as
Ortiz
Pulev
ghost of Povetkin
And then a bunch of guys. A fully restored Fury would warrant attention but I don't consider guys like Breazeale, Whyte, Miller, Chisora, Takam, Parker, Kownacki, Hughie Fury, Jennings, etc to be real contenders.
We'll have to wait for the next crop of prospects and for guys like Usyk to move up.

Well done sir.
Ortiz is nothing but a gate keeper for the wbc. That's the only body he is ranked.
But what ever makes you happy is okay.

#4 Ring
#2 WBC
#9 IBF
#6 IBO
#8 BoxRec
#4 ESPN
He's not ranked by the WBA or the WBO.
And considering Ortiz won rounds 7 and 8 against Wilder... I'd say he had plenty left after round 6. He even got up from a knockdown in round 5.

Why do you rate Ortiz this is literally all his wins in the last two years.
Razvan Cojanu
Daniel Martz
David Allen
Malik Scott
Of those best win Scott by record but Ortiz looked slow and horrible , I watched that fight, I was excited to see this monster I'd heard about ... it was awful .. he couldn't cut the ring off at all go watch it on youtube.
In fact the Scott win is nearly two years ago.
