  • Comments Thread For: Canelo-Golovkin Rematch Deserves Your Excitement

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Coverage of boxing from the sport's dedicated media and the mainstream media that parachutes in for larger fights both tend to ride raves of hysteria. When Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin met this time last year, the sport seemed to be in a bit of a transitionary period. It was one month removed from the sport's second biggest fight ever-however absurd...

I am looking for the best Fathom Event theatre that serves beer and will show the fight. If you are not interested in this match up, I have zero idea why you are on this site or claim to enjoy this sport. These guys each bring something great to the ring, and each have a TON of legacy riding on this fight. Golovkin needs a clean, legit win over a name opponent to prove his record as MW belongs in with the other great MW of this historic division. Not to mention the fact the last year and a half has all revolved around Alvarez. As far as Alvarez goes, can anyone imagine a world where he gets a draw about 75% of boxing observers think should have been a loss, gets popped for doping, THEN he gets beaten soundly by Trip G in a rematch when he is peeing clean, and it not taint his career going forward? Golovkin will haunt him forever if he loses.

This is a huge fight. There is a good undercard (not great, but interesting), it will be a fantastic atmosphere, and the Big Drama Show will be real.

Okay, Fathom Event big screen and beer. Shouldn't be hard to find. I am so in.

No. If I was excited then I would order it. I'm not. I'll catch the replay a week later.

Fk'n hilarious that you've been posting 10+ a day for the past year saying how ya can't wait & how excited you'll be if GGG loses but can't even bother to get a damn job to pay for the one good ppv this whole year? Imagine how much money you'd have saved if you'd just put down that crack pipe a couple days a month! $20 at the theater & even less if you were smart enough to figure out how to stream it. Most of us find that money in the car seat!

                Broke ass

Why are you crying and throwing a fit??
If you don't like it then don't watch.

I don't go to the theater you butt pirate, that sounds like the kinda place you will shoot up when GGG loses.

Canelo will lite that boy up, don't you worry, and I'll be watching it for free too
