It doesn't matter, if Golovkin wins he is just fighting on PPV the rest of his career. He doesn't need to sign with any network, just do one fight deals. Golovkin will be coming off a win in a fight with over a million buys and will probably only be fighting for another two years or so. The type of money he will want won't be accommodated on SHO or ESPN.
Saturday is GGG's last fight with HBO. He's open to other options.

you don't truly know what a man is made of until he's low blowed over and over. how does he handle this adverstity?Comment

Gennadys built Up his profile Enough I would guess he goes independent since he’s already set up his own promo company and just whatever future fights he has left goes to the platform that generates him the most $ without being tied down
The MW division is fragmented with basically the top 4-5 guys after Gennady all on different platforms
HBO - Canelo maybe But probably
Not Jacobs in the future
DAZN - Andrade probably Jacobs
PBC - Charlo
Espn /TR - Murata
Saunders is with Warren and seems to be able
To go to whatever US network they choose
If Gennady leaves HBO put another nail in their coffin. They might not re-up on Kov for the rematch l. They basically will have Canelo and the Superfly division which is a who gives a sh.it division
Again how does Nelson still have a job ?Comment

Saul Alvarez, Ryan Garcia, Joseph Diaz Jr, David Lemieux, Jason Quigley, Diego De La Hoya, Jaime Munguia (Oscar hopes), Vergil Ortiz Jr, and likely a few other young guys.
Alvarez will fight his two PPVs a year, and HBO/Golden Boy will leverage the Canelo money to come up with another 5-8 shows (Canelo draws 1.5m buys for his two PPVs, and you're basically at HBO getting $10m as their share, which can then finance 5 $2m rights fee cards).Comment

HBO may not offer 360 a ton of non-GGG dates, but they offer him a couple. Can he do better elsewhere? Maybe not. History teaches us though that the promoter will leverage his fighter to benefit himself, not the fighter. So GGG's deal with HBO being up may be irrelevant. If his deal with Loeffler was up, that'd be a different story.Comment

Do you earnestly think that Eddie Hearn wouldn't co-promote to get those three (Usyk-Bellew and Usyk versus Hearn's heavyweights, Braekhus vs Katie Taylor, Golovkin vs Andrade, Golovkin vs Fowler/Buatsi, etc)?Comment

Because he's a former member of the media and he boxing media still protects him. He has the job they all wish they had. The boxing media doesn't know **** about the business of boxing. All you have to do is look at their predictions about PBC/Haymon to see that. They had no idea what the hell they were talking about. From the lawsuits to TV deal. They were criticizing Espinoza when PBC started and speculated about his job being on the line. With Nelson they've pushed that lie that the budget would increase once HBO was sold. Well the deal went thru and looks like the budget decreased. There s a lot of collusion in the boxing media. Those Golden Boy emails proved that. And the boxing media pushed that story out of the headlines quick and tried to absolve Golden Boy of any responsibility. I think they were really scared that their emails would be leaked.
Yep. We saw that with Kathy Duva. She turned down a purse bid even though Kovalev didn't have a deal with HBO at the moment.Comment

Hearn would do it, but it'd be a last resort for Loeffler. If GGG beats Canelo, Loeffler will want to leverage that for all it's worth. His best bet would still be keeping GGG at HBO if he can keep getting some dates from HBO. If HBO won't pony up, sure you try to use DAZN to create some leverage. But Loeffler created 360 in hopes he could take more control at HBO if he can get Canelo knocked off. Hearn will never give the kind of control Loeffler is hoping he can get at HBO.Comment
