There is a crew of about 10 who are diehard haters.
I haven’t even made my final pick. I think the likely outcome is a close fight. I’ll be rooting for Golovkin but not feel super comfortable. If Canelo looks noticeably smaller like he has in the few photos I’ve seen I’ll be leaning more heavily towards Golovkin. Tend to think that will more than likely be because he isn’t getting a PED advantage this time around.
But I definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see Canelo win. I just hope if he does it isn’t some BS decision.Last edited by Diego Rodriguez; 09-11-2018, 09:27 PM.Comment

Getting back to the original discusdion we had. I said the more skilled versatile fighter should win the first fight.
So I am going to use your examples.
Winners of the first fight.
Aaron Pryor vs Arguello
Shane vs Oscar
Winky vs Shane
Taylor Hopkins.
By the way Ali, Norton and Frazier were just a few years apart in age. Ali was the oldest. There are several things you didn't mention. Duran, Arguello, and Hopkins all moved up in weight so some of these loses came against naturally bigger men.
Ali was thought to have lost all three of his fights against Norton. Arguello lost to Pryor a bigger guy but in the corner you could hear Pryor's trainer say give me the bottle I mixed. Then Pryor came out and finished Arguello. Coincidentally there was no urine analysis after that fight.
If Canelo would have shown more versatility in that first fight I would agree with you but in the fight I saw he didn't. So I'm sticking to my prediction that Golovkin wins the rematch. Golovkin is the more skilled fighter and he is going to prove it.
First, your missing the entire point. The more skilled fighter wins the rematch the majority of time. The more skilled fighter may win the first fight sometimes but for the most part, they don’t lose the rematch and win it more convincingly.
Secondly, I’m not sure why your focused on age when my focus was on who had the more versatility, skill set, and who has more flexibility with skills inside the ring. In every fight I mentioned and you re-mentioned, all of those fighters who won and/or won the rematches, had the better skill sets.
Thirdly, did you just say the reason why Duran lost the rematch was because he moved up in weight. That’s a ****** argument because he won the 1st fight against Leonard. And did you say Arguello moved up to fight Pryor and Pryor was bigger? Pryor was more conditioned and more determined and wore down Arguello who hurt Pryor in that 1st fight. That lost had nothing to do with him being smaller or what you suspect Pryor was taking in the corner. And with all that so called controversy, Pryor Still smoked him in the rematch. Another dumb point. You know how many fighters moved up (1) weight class and were successful. There are hundreds of champions that did that. That’s another ****** argument. And if you said Hopkins moved up in weight to fight Taylor. Do you realize they were both middleweights when they fought. The “super” middleweight belt is given when a fighter already holds (2) of the other belts. Taylor wasn’t a super middleweight when they fought-LOL! You are sounding ******ed right now and embarrassing yourself. You should be banned from this forum. This forum is largely for fans that know a little something about boxing.
Fourth, I only deal with facts. Your one of the those fans that injects conspiracy theories to support your points that are just opinions. But what does their records say. That’s all that really matters. In my restaurant; I only serve W’s & L’s on the menu. We don’t serve could’ve, should’ve, or would’ve or any theories.
Lastly, are you legally blind. You didn’t see the variety of punches that Canelo can throw versus what GGG throws. You didn’t see at times that his footwork and movements around the ring were a little better than GGG’s. You didn’t see when he stood at times to fire of combinations. You didn’t see the difference in hand and foot speed. You didn’t see that Canelo landed with more accuracy when he threw punches. You didn’t see Canelos ability to punch off the ropes. You didn’t see Canelo firing a body shot and a shot upstairs simultaneously without being countered. You didnt see Canelo slipping punches more than GGG. Canelo just needs to be more active, be better conditioned, and it’s an easy win for him.
I am so confident that Canelo will win the rematch that I will make a deal with you. If Canelo loses this fight; I WONT POST ON THIS FORUM AGAIN!!!Last edited by markther; 09-11-2018, 09:42 PM.Comment

Then I guess Canelo has to up his stamina for this fight. Stay off the ropes. Learn how to slip the jab. Stop backing up for no apparent reason. Start thinking in the ring. For example he goes to the ropes waiting for Golovkin to commit hard punches. Instead more often than not Golovkin jabbed him and piled up points but Canelo couldn't figure out this was a bad tactic and getting him nowhere. Good fighters are aware of how they are doing as the rounds slip by. The biggest tool a fighter has is his brain. Golovkin is just a smarter guy.Comment
