Golovkin will dig to the body alot more this time. Funny thing is people saying he was afraid to go to the body with canelo because he feared a “counter”. Thats a load of horse****. Hiw often do you see GGG land a left hook and not have his right glove up with his chin tucked in?!? And when he does take a hit, i usually rolls off with little effext, canelo landed some solid punches, but moreso alot of the flash he “landed” was just that,...ineffective strikes. Golovkins problem in the first fight was his insistance on head hunting and going for the Ko without investing in the body. I doubt he will make that mistake again. Besides, this hrad and body work has been his formula for such a successful career.Comment

Hmm. Interesting analysis but your implying that Golovkin doesn't study film. Apparently he has no clue how an older fighter can defeat a younger guy with fast hands. I guess that's just never happened in boxing before. You answered your own question. Notice my comments said the fighter with the better skills wins the “rematch.”
In the 1st fight, there were a lot of unknowns. Can I take his power? How fast does he punch? Can he take my power? Can I beat him to the punch? What shots is he the most vulnerable too? What shots does he take better than others? At what angles do I throw off his balance and leverage of his power shots? How is his stamina in the later rounds? Can I be more effective if I increase my stamina? How can I steal rounds? Many questions are answered in the 1st fight. And the better skilled fighter after the necessary film study, can make those adjustments better and more effectively. And most good boxing experts, trainers, current fighters, and former fighters have said that the rematch favors the better skilled fighter. GGG is more limited in what he does than Canelo; Canelo is more versatile than GGG.
The better skilled fighter has won rematches and that’s been the case the majority of times over the years, historically. Now you may argue GGG is the more skilled fighter but a lot of people would disgree with that. And most people on this forum are over looking Canelo’s overall skill set. I’m not a fan of his. I just think he is younger, more skilled, can take a good shot, and throws the better “variety,” of punches. And I believe he can beat GGG to the punch, he is noticeably faster as evidenced in the 1st fight.
GGG will pressure him all night, it doesn’t mean it will be effective aggression which is one of the areas judges score fights. As much as it pains me to say, Canelo can and will out box GGG in the rematch and win via decision. I want GGG to win; just don’t think he will.Last edited by TonyGe; 09-11-2018, 02:08 PM.Comment

I was being sarcastic jackass.. Of course your so dense you didn't get it. No wonder you thought Canelo won. Hang on that's not correct. You know Canelo lost but you won't admit it.Comment

Baloney it's not the same thing. You don't go out of your way to critisize Porter. You hate Golovkin it's obvious and you get a kick out of irritating his fan base.Comment

I didn’t say GGG doesn’t study film or it doesn’t help him when he does. That’s one of the reasons why you hire trainers, to break down film and develop a fight strategy. I just think Canelo’s skill set is better and his film study will better serve him in the rematch.
But name (1) time an older guy beat a younger fighter with faster hands and a more versatile fight arsenal in a rematch. Go ahead, I will wait. I may be wrapping Christmas gifts by the time you answer.Comment
