wrong. He’s never been with Haymon. Most of Floyd’s guys arent with Haymon lol. Tank and j Leon Love are Haymon but Jack, Ishe Smith, Ronald Gavril, Andrew tabiti etc are all with Floyd’s cousin. That’s why u have never once heard Badou thank Haymon and why the Watsons we’re in james DeGale corner and not badou’s.Comment

Sounds like maybe Jack "lost" the sparring hence his reservation or he's trying to some new angle with instead of hyping he "beat him" in sparring he's being mysterious with what happened in this sparring to get more questions about it & perhaps get some lil buildup of cats who wanna see this fight.
Whatever this non-story is about I got massive respect for Jack for fighting the top cats in 2 divisions quicker than many of these mfers are fighting the top cats in 1 division. I hope this Jack vs Alvarez fight can be made now that HBO seems to have cut Alvarez (& Kovalev) loose.
Or Alvarez is cut loose it sounds like anyway. I suppose HBO has options on Kov still & if he were to beat Alvarez in their rematch (I wouldn't bet on it) then HBO will segue back into his career after that.Comment

Jack had the belt, dropped it instead of fighting Bivol. Now Bivol has the belt, and Jack is the mandatory, so it should happen again, just with the roles reversed. When the roles were one way, jack didnt make the fight. Now the roles are another way, so if he doesnt make the fight no matter which order the roles are in, that tells you it's not the order of the roles that is to blame for the fight not happening, it is Jack or Jack's team that is to blame.
And I never said Bivol was a boogeyman. What he is is the only champion at 175 who does not already have an opponent scheduled for this fall. Does Jack want to fight for the championship or not? If so, Bivol is his only option this fall.
It's about the best fighting the best to see who the top guy is in the division. Jack moved to 175 and kept calling out aging Stevenson, but how come I never hear him call out Beterbiev or Bivol, the two guys who are probably the best in the division at this point unless that man is Jack?
Bivol needs a good opponent. Jack needs a good opponent. What's the problem? The fact you reacted so defensively to the idea of Bivol vs Jack, with the "no one cares about Bivol" bull**** response, makes it seem like you don't want to see Jack and Bivol fight. Why not? You don't think Jack is good enough? Because if he has any skills at all, he is way bigger than Bivol, so it should be a 50/50 fight at LEAST for Jack.Comment

I am waiting. Dejuan Blake manages most of Floyd's stable. Haymon doesn't even need to sign them. If he wants to use them he can because they are with Floyd. You still haven't answered why the Watson's weren't in his corner vs James DeGaleComment

Clad in a black and gray Reebok PlayDry top, Jack tore off his black “The Money Team” track pants with a thick gold stripe down the sides to reveal black gym shorts, and went to work.
Jack fires a left counter uppercut as he pressures trainer Lou Del Valle, a former champion.
Tupac Shakur’s “All Eyez On Me” bounced off the gym walls as Jack practiced fighting at range during shadow boxing, his right uppercut the chief weapon of choice. “It’s my favorite punch, just ask DeGale. Ask (Porky) Medina,” he says with a smile, referring to a shot that inflicted much of the damage that busted DeGale’s ear drum, broke his nose and knocked out a front tooth.
Del Valle, who has been with Team Jack on and off but became head trainer for the DeGale fight, shouted “Faster! Shoot the two!” as the native Swede punched the pads for six rounds.
A less-polished Jack once fought tall, in the European style. Now, with his knees bent, he exploded into every punch. Every so often, advisor Mike Leanardi reminded Jack to bend in his knees just a little bit more.Comment

I get trash talk, and I actually like Jack as he has always been focused on the moment and not all over the place. He is not a huge smack talker, doing just enough to get a few headlines for the fight at hand. But one of the areas I HATE is the "sparring rounds" smack talk. These are controlled, focused training sessions usually designed to work on something specific and keep both fighters healthy. When "winning" a sparring round over someone decades ago or when a common sparring opponent says this fighter is so much better than that fighter because I sparred both and I know, it is like declaring a quarterback ready for the Pro Football Hall of Fame based on scrimmages.
To Jack's credit, he did say that it is totally different than a fight. Then, of course, went on to say he won the boxing version of a scrimmage. Just....stop. Alvarez has a rematch against Kovalev. It will be next year before anyone else gets a shot against that winner. Go find another opponent. Leave the sparring story telling for an opponent you have zero hope of fighting anytime soon alone, please.Comment
