I mention that because 2 friends of mine were jailed for 25 years and 10 years for trafficking ******* into the country aboard a fishing vessel. They were both white, family men with no criminal records till then.

For a black man, in the US, to get only 8 1/2 years for a similar offence makes me think he can't have had much coke on him when he got caught. He maybe just got pulled over by the police crossing a state line with a bag in his car. I guess he's lucky they didn't shoot him.

again, he was not charged with simply possessing drugs, he was charged with trafficking them. like you said, probably got caught crossing state lines and with a lot of *******. or manufacturing [cooking ******* into crack,]

would be a lot easier to let him off the hook as a good guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time if he didn't get popped again at a drug house with crack and weapons within a year of him getting released. but he did!

he even talks about it in interviews; he sold drugs from the time he was a boy until he turned his life around [after prison term 2,] he didn't use them. when you do that with ******* you typically have to achieve a level of organization and back it up with violence.
