Honestly I'm less interested in Eggington and Rios than I am in Mwakinyo himself. They never interviewed him and honestly he finished Eggington off so quickly that I never even got a chance to learn his name properly. He looked quite impressive actually, he was quick and explosive and he was badly hurting a guy who typically has no trouble absorbing punishment, (even though he typically just leaves his jaw hanging in midair.) I hope he gets some more time in the spotlight, he could prove himself to be a prospect if he plays his cards right. Looking at his boxrec he's already pencilled in for a IBF youth middleweight title challenge in October - if he can pull off something big there again he can start building up some career momentum if he's got a competent promoter.

Mwakinyo looked scintillating although some of that was Eggington's lack of D but nonetheless a strong and mature showing by the Tanzanian, knowing when and how to finish.

The Welborn-Langford match made up for the horrible matchmaking of the earlier bouts, Eggington's weak outing, and Khan's fragile shell of a performance.
A gem of a fight in the middle a pile of doo doo.
