Its all in the numbers folks...forget about Eubank, his dad...the temperature in Haiti yesterday...
Eubank took a shot at the 1% club, those who have the skills, the character, the health, the luck and the support to be an excellent professional fighter. Sometimes a guy takes a shot and gets another shot, sometimes not....
I love to look at Fernando Vargas because he taught me so much about this process. Vargas went a lot farther than Eubank...but when he came up against the best, he fell down and never got up. Trinidad ruined him and that was that.
Groves was nowhere near Trinidad and he ruined Eubank. Eubank was not brought along nearly as carefully as Nando and got exposed by a top notch professional.... happens all the time, Eubank just another name.
So chalk it up to the game...Eubank talks a great game but I don't see him trying to get back in there and fix it...he knows he can't. Judah to his credit couldn't believe that he could be beat when Zoo showed him the ropes... But this kid? He don't want none of that real work, the kind of work where you alone believe you can do this, and you alone against the rest of the establishment will go out there and will it!
Ask yourself this question: How many guys have done that work? Showed the establishment they were wrong and went on to be great. I can't think of one right now frankly. They do exist bit Eubank ain't one of them.
