Huge signing for Hearn. Sadly, this likely means they delay the Wilder fight even more.

Usyk has a case for being the best p4p boxer in the world. AJ, Whyte and any other HWT better be careful with that guy.

It says welcome Usyk and K2.

Does it mean they will be copromoting him or is K2 a part of Matchroom now or something?

if Hearn is avoiding Wilder because he thinks AJ is going to get KO'd, he will be smart to avoid Usyk too who would take all three cards 120-108.

But after the Bellew fight, I'm sure he will dangle the AJ carrot in front of Usyk.

Usyk might not be able to handle AJ's power so we could see a massive KO win for AJ if they fight. That said, I agree with you Usyk can beat AJ by UD.

of course the scorecards in England will miraculously have AJ winning. LOL!!

Usyk IMO is the real deal.

Co-promotion correct. But I'm guessing Hearn will be the US promoter of Usyk and obviously the shows he puts him in on in the UK.

I'd be happy with Usyk getting that shot in the spring/summer of 2019 if he is intending to move up after his next fight. There's the danger he gets clipped and slept due to size but I think Usyk pulls it off and wins wide too.

He is absolutely the real deal, but I don't think this is to have him avoid Joshua. Hearn needs as many good fighters as possible and because he can't get the big name guys in the states, he has to do the next best thing. And Usyk is a guy who can potentially fight multiple fighters in his stable. Bellew is the obvious one, then you have as you mentioned the likes of Chisora/Whyte/Joshua/etc.

Usyk would be by far the most skilled HW, but that doesn't mean the bigger guys like Joshua would't be able to beat him. Usyk isn't impossible to hit and he may not have the pop to hold the likes of Joshua or Wilder off of him. He took a flush shot or two from Gassiev, but his chin isn't Toney-esque or anything. Not yet ready to crown him in the HW division.

It's a great signing no doubt. But I do think Hearn now can avoid Wilder/AJ which is the best fight in the division.

Yeah power may be an issue. If Usyk can take the punches I haven't seen any HWT skilled enough to outbox him. Maybe Wilder could use his length but he has never shown elite skill.

Guys like Ortiz, Miller, Povetkin (probably a big fight in Russia) he beats without much problem IMO.

Win/Win for both! No surprise HBO didn't sign Usyk despite investing heavy in Eastern European Fighters, they would not have appreciated his SKILLS anyway
