You do realize MOST people who subscribe to Showtime, don't do so because of boxing. Boxing fans probably make up < 5% of Showtime subscribers, so not sure why you're comparing sports content.

But since we're here for boxing, Showtime's boxing content > DAZN's, so the extra $3/mo is worth it.

Watch the WBA thing magically go away... Usyk will fight Bellew, then Joshua.

And no, Hearn's budget can't accommodate a card equivalent of 350,000 buys if you are referring to Wilder/Fury. That card is equivalent of 350,000 US buys PLUS 500,000 UK buys. That is a fight where you will be needing to pay at least $25 million. And there are rumors that both believe they will be closer to the $20 million range ($40 total). In that case forget about it.

Only other rumored PPV is Spence vs Garcia. And yes, Hearn thinks he can put that fight on DAZN.

ESPN+ is for $5 bucks a month and it has TONS of other material aside from combat sports. DAZN on the other hand has nothing else.
That's these Hearn fanboys don't get. It's not about the price. $10 is nothing, but I'm not gonna spend $10 on an app that I will only use for a few hours on a Saturday. I could careless about Bellator. DAZN just won't have any other content that will interest me. ESPN+ has a lot of content but even at that, I never really used it other for one fight.

Sure I'd agree with that. But you still gotta make sure the juice is worth the squeeze. And Usyk is The 200lb Champion + a tip top P4P guy, argument for him being #1. Thats a guy who's gonna want a nice amount of money to sign with you more than likely. He's a superstar in ability, but not in popularity in the US.

pBut hypothetically, if Usyk asks same or less money than Andrade, who would be a better candidate to make a deal with? I guess the answer is obvious. And how you explain the point of singing other eastern guys like Lipinets and ignoring Usyk at the same time?
I think Andrade is probably the pickup in that case cuz his potential upside is higher. Or if its for the same money it is. If you can pickup Usyk for less he might be the pickup if its less enough as long as we are talking about US promotion.

As far as Lipinets goes he's likely massively cheaper therefore worth it. You almost gotta penalize Usyk for being too good cuz he's gonna wanna be paid for how good he is yet his upside is limited at best making him a more risky proposition.

promoters are too lazy to invest their time to think of marketing strategy that would help to increase the interest in Cruiserweight, they think it's better to keep doing the same old stuff. Okay, lazy is kind of wrong word to use here, let's say they don't want to take risks with it
No argument from me that too many promoters haven't adapted their promotion game since the 90s. But you gotta read the tea leaves on what fans want too with the moves you make + risks you take & historically they've voted with their dollars that they don't appreciate non-American, non-Latino boxers as much as you or I feel they should.

Takam would be a good tester for Usyk at heavy. Parker’s team should let him try and get back to winning ways before putting him in with Usyk, he’s young enough that he could rebuild, but chuck another loss on top of the Joshua and Whyte fights and that could be his career done.

Would you like the WBA thing to go away so you can be privileged to an excellent fight? Or do you want to concern yourself with the mystery of Eddie’s shady deals?

Usyk is 31 years old. He won his 1st title in his 10th fight at the age of 29.

Hollyfield won a title in his 10th fight at the age of 24. He turned pro at 21 while Usyk turned pro at 26.

Good points though I feel Takam is a tougher fight for Usyk than Chisora would, even though Chisora beat Takam
