Fight seemed like a no-brainier while Spence waits for Garcia-Porter winner/Thurman/Garcia.

Wondering if Berto passed on it.

What makes you say he doesn't wanna fight Spence or Thurman? As far as I'm aware those options have never been on the table for him like they are now.

I can understand the Bud part of your remark cuz Bob was trying to make that fight obviously & it sounds like Manny & his team were the problem with making that fight.

And honestly I felt Lucas WAS a threat to this current version of Manny. I thought that was a bad fight for him to take.

Thank you Al Haymon, you have the biggest stable out there, you sideline your fighters and pay them well for being inactive, and when they fight its meaningless crap. Al Haymon and the PBC is the worst thing to happen for actual boxing fans. Fighters fighting once a year and usually its a meaningless bollocks fight, not even any unifications by Haymon.

I'm actually fine with Ugas or Collazo for December as long as the winner of Garcia vs Porter after that

But about a month ago, Garcia said he was meeting Haymon about Spence "tomorrow" - what happened with that?

Those two have the same adviser - what is the holdup?

Who do you propose he fight who's realistic?

I just nerded out on Boxrec & the best fight I could come up with for his next fight is probably Andre Berto with Manny being a nice longshot fight now that he's a free agent for the time being.

Maybe the loser of this weekend's fight would be doable to so if its a close ass fight with a controversial decision that could be a good thing for Spence in picking up a more interesting fight for his first bout of 2019.

I think its likely Spence's next 2 fights are gonna be who gives a f#ck fights or he takes a layoff which is no good either.

WBC guy has already said the Porter vs Garcia winner will have to fight two mandatory fights before they can fight anyone else.

Its an ABC group so its not like their rules aren't bendable or breakable, but just saying thats what the story is currently.

even without the mandatories the winner of garcia vs porter can just flat out refuse to fight spence. they don't even acknowledge his existence lol.
