the ibf wouldnt have sanctioned the fight had they known. the contract submitted to the ibf didnt have a rematch clause. they hid it from the ibf to trick them into sanctioning the fight. has wlad won, it wouldnt have mattered. since fury won, he knew he'd be autostripped, but he sold the rematch clause anyway because its a great payday for a mandatory win or lose.

Wow! Damn. If they had to do all that then maybe the belts are just getting in the way. That's some shady stuff.

Rematch clauses are hidden from the sanctioning bodies all the time. If the champion wins, no harm no foul. If he loses, the challenger knows the strip is automatic. In a voluntary defense, the challenger often has no choice, but Fury was a double mandatory. There was no reason to sell a rematch clause unless he wasn't confident he'd win.

What did Paul Williams do when the "top guys" didn't want it? He moved up. Real talk, Spence is a bítch. Quit waiting around for a LW to move up and get to work!

The promoters don't control the sport, the sanctioning bodies do. What does a promoter have to do with these ****** mando's?

A guy like Canelo refusing a mando is one thing, but putting in these nonames as mando's or if you have a title and move up a class you become a mando is ****** as fùck.

Got a title and want to move up? Start from the bottom like the rest and become a champ.
Well, if they move up and start from the bottom isn't that them fighting bums again and wasting more time?

Charlo moved from 154 to 160 and fought 2 stiffs and has no good fight in sight. I would rather he moved up and fought Saunders, Lemiuex, or Jacob's and then we'd know where he stood in the division.
